Chapter 3: Evening Encounter

Time skip of amazing~

It's around 1 am now. All day of training I never really had a chance to talk to him. He was always hanging around another boy. Reiner I think his name was.

I sighed.. Looking up to the dark ceiling. I couldn't get him out of my head.. I kept going back to the time he saved me from that titan many years ago.. His soft voice, warm hands.

Deciding to clear my mind so I can sleep, I got up from my bed and slowly walked towards the door of the girls sleeping cabin. (I'm really not sure where they actually sleep in the anime so let's just say there's a girls and boys dorm area..lol) I was careful not to wake up any of the others. Especially Mikasa.. God she can be crabby when her sleep is disturbed.. I was finally outside.

It was a cold but clear night. The moon let off a light blue glow to the open area. I wasn't exactly sure where to walk.. Cafeteria cabin? Training feild? Boys sleeping cabin? Maybe I can see that boy.. If he's awake.

I reached the boys sleeping cabin in about 5 minutes. I knocked softy so that anyone awake could hear me and open up.. But no response..
*sigh*
'Guess I should go back to bed then..'

"Uhh... Hi?"

I gasped and spun around quickly and ended up face to face with... Him..

God he was a lot cuter up close, not to mention tall.. I had to actually look up a bit to talk to him.

"U-uhh.." I didn't know what to say.. I blushed a bit in embarrassment from tripping over myself.

"Um.. Are u lost?" He asked.

I could tell he was a bit nervous as well.

"No.."

He giggled a bit.

"Well... It's nice to see you again." He said.

"So you remember when we were kids then.."

"Well yeah.. I could never forget a face like yours.. Oh umm.."

I giggled at his compliment, just by talking to him I can tell he's a shy one.

"Thanks I guess.. Do u wanna go for a walk?" I asked, wanting to talk to him more.

"Y-yeah sure"

About maybe 20 minutes~

"So yeah, that's how I met Reiner."

We've been sitting and talking for what seems like forever. He's told me all about his family and his bestfriend who was that Reiner character.

"Oh snap, I haven't even asked your name yet!" He said

"Oh it's y/n.. Yours?"

"Bertholdt"
'Hm.. Different..' I thought 'cute'

"Anyway, y/n how about your family?"

I froze up. Remembering what happened to my mother.. That day the colossal titan decided to ruin everyone's lives.. Mine as well.

"5 years ago.. When the colossal Titan first appeared and broke the wall.. My mother was killed. My father died of disease when I was 5." I said looking down to the ground, trying not to tear up.

"O-oh.."

"Ever since then I've wanted that Titan dead..." I clenched my fist.. About to hit the ground but stopped and calmed myself.

Bertholdt was looking down as well.. He looked nervous, scared.

"Bertholdt you ok?"

He stood up from the ground quick.

"U-uhh yeah.. But I think I should head back to my cabin."

"Oh yeah sure.. It was nice to talk to you again, after so long."

I looked into his dark eyes and said,

"Thank you.. For saving me.."

"Ah.." He took hold of my right hand and kissed it, causing me to blush so badly.

"No problem.." Was all he said then he walked away.

I got to my sleeping cabin with the rest of the girls and safely got into my bed. Now that I talked to him I can finally get him out of my head and sleep I said. Though I didn't exactly get him out of my head..

I closed my eyes, and fell asleep.. Thinking about Bertholdt.

'I can't wait to see him tomorrow..'
