Chapter 5: Colossal Titan Visit #2

I followed the three out to town.
Annie and Reiner looked anxious, while bertholdt looked nervous. Well more nervous than usual.

What were they doing? I noticed that they even had 3DMG's on. What did they need with those?

I tried to get closer to them but it was like they knew they were being followed, constantly looking behind them every step I took. Then-

"Oof!"

I bumped into an old man carrying a basket of apples.

"Oh gosh I-I'm terribly sorry!"
"Hey, watch where you're going you little brat! Almost made me drop- hey!"

I ran out of his way before he could finish talking. If I didn't hurry I'd lose bertholdt, Annie and Reiner.

Which I've already did...

'Fuck!' I said to myself.

'Where-?'

BOOM!!

I looked up to the sky, where I heard a loud crashing and saw the biggest lighting bolt I've seen. A greenish yellow glow came off of it.

Everyone in town went quiet. Which didn't last...

AAAAAHHHH!!!!!

Everyone suddenly became panicked and hectic after seeing the aftermath of the bolt.

The Colossal Titan.. Was once again.. towering over one of our walls.

I looked up in horror. Memories of my last colossal Titan encounter came back. Flashing images of my mother being crushed by debris filled my mind, and my eyes with tears..

I wiped my face and me training to be a soldier, decided it would be best to try and escort citizens to the back gate.

Another crash was heard and I froze.
I knew what it did.

I looked back and saw huge rocks, like meteors, come falling. Crushing houses, buildings, markets.. Even people. He kicked the wall in. I ducked into an alley to avoid the rocks. Looking out onto the street, eyes wide, terrified, seeing people just get plastered with rocks and debris.

I took a small step back and tripped and fell from stepping onto another soldiers body. He still had his 3DMG on. I struggled to get it off but managed and headed toward the front gate.

I was flying through the air. Avoiding Titans, and killing some working my way to the front gate.

I had to kill it. Nothing but that objective was on my mind.

I reached the gate and looked up. The colossal Titan was just standing there, as if watching.. Being entertained by the chaos he just caused. I didn't just see the titan, I saw Eren too. flying through the air, 3DMG attached to its neck.

"Eren NO!" I yelled.

I didn't want him to kill it.. I wanted to..

I saw him get close and swing his swords.. Then smoke.

Like that smoke that comes off a titan when it's body decomposes. The smoke also blinded me.. Making me lose my balance and fall holding myself together into a ball praying that I wouldn't die.

I opened up and saw that the Titan disappeared just like two years ago, completely vanished. most of the smoke cleared enough to see Eren climb up the wall meeting Thomas.

And berthold...

He was also climbing up the wall, Making sure Eren didn't see him.

'What the... Berthold?'
I was so confused.. How can berthold be at the outside of the wall when he wasn't here with me during the colossal titan....

I put that thought aside and ran into the busted gate. To find berthold.

I had to know what was going on.

'Berthold... What are you hiding from me?'
