I couldn't believe it.. Bertholdt.. Was the colossal titan..
I grabbed him by his shirt and pulled him forward. More tears welling up in my eyes, and I kissed him. I didn't care if he was a monster. I just couldn't help my feelings towards him. As I kissed him I remembered when we were both children in the woods.. The day he saved me.
"Y/n..."
"Bertholdt... I don't care about any of this that happened.. I only care about you.."
He hugged me tightly.
"Y/n we don't have to stay here you know."
I was confused.
"You mean in the walls? Where else could we go?"
"Back to the mountains.. Where we first met."
"Bertholdt we can't just leave.. It's not that easy.. I mean you can. But me not being able to 'shape shift' I can't really get far."
"I have people who can help us!"
I wondered who those people were. But then I connected the dots.
Annie and Reiner.
It's why they're always together. It's why they left together.
"Annie and Reiner." Berthold started. "They too are titan shifters. Annie can turn into a female titan, and Reiner, the armored titan who was present at the time I first.. You know.."
I didn't know what to do.. I wanted to leave with him but.. I knew that doing so would be hard and he could be hurt. Nonetheless..
"Let's do it."
"Y/n.. Really? You'd abandon almost everything just to be with me?"
I looked in his eyes..
"Yes."
"Alright.." He kissed my forehead and grabbed my hand, walking out from the ally.
"We need to find Annie and Reiner first"
We started running toward headquarters.
