Rebirth.

Kate's P.O.V.

After an entire day of filming, I was finally going home. Not talking to Tom all day was making me more anxious than I have ever been. I tried to clear all of my anxiety by blaring music in the car. My music was interrupted by my phone ringing. 

"Hello?" 

"Kate?" Emma said.

"Yes?"

"I need you to come over. Right now."

I silently sighed, I desperately needed to see Tom. "Okay, why?"

"Just hurry up." She sniffled after she ended her sentence and the line went dead.

My heart sank as I began to turn my car around. I picked my phone up and called Tom. Many rings went by and just before the call went to voicemail, he answered.

Jade's P.O.V.

"I'll be really quick in the shower, can you just finish up decorating, please?" Tom asked as he grabbed clean clothes from his closet.

"Yeah, sure!" I began to light the candles spread throughout the room as Tom went into the bathroom. The water turned on just as I heard a ringing noise. I grabbed my phone from my back pocket and it was off. The noise was coming from his phone. It laid on the bed, covered in red roses. "Kate" appeared on the screen. 

"Hi," I said nervously.

"Hello?" she questioned.

"Tom.. he.. he just got in the shower," immediately after saying this I smacked my head.

"Oh. Just tell him I won't be home tonight." 

I could just hear how pissed off she was. "I just came over to help him-" she cut me off.

"I don't care. Just tell him what I said." 

With that, she hung up.

Tom's P.O.V. 

The steaming water poured over me as I stepped into the shower. I needed to hurry up so I had time to pick up dinner before Kate got home. Hastily, I threw shampoo and conditioner into my hair and washed it out. Kate's favorite cologne on me was One Million by Paco, so I decided to wash myself with the scent's shower gel.

"Tom!" Jade screamed just as I stepped out of my shower. She burst into the bathroom and I quickly threw a towel over my wet body. She seemed to be unfazed that she had almost just seen me naked.

"What!" I shouted at her.

"Kate called and I told her you were in the shower and now she isn't gonna come home! Before I could say anything she hung up!"  

My eyes opened wide in shock and I ran into my room to retrieve my phone. My hand shook as I attempted to call her. Ring after ring, no answer. My heart began to race as the rings continued with no answer. Call after call, it just went to voicemail.

Kate's P.O.V.

My foot pressed the gas pedal down to the floor. The car sped forward. I turned the music up as the loud as it would play. Resentment filled me. I didn't know who I despised more, Tom or Jade?

Instead of arriving at my initial destination of Emma's house, I entered the beach. Leaving my phone in the car, my strained body made its way to the sand. The moon's light shone down on the dark waves. I sat down on the damp sand and stared out at the ocean's endless rippling water. The waves crashing on the shore relaxed my aching soul. My eyelids became heavy and I rested my head on the hard ground.
