Amy's POV
Tobin fell asleep on my shoulder since we've been waiting for awhile. Finally the doctor came out.
"Tobs..." I say as I nudge her. She wakes up almost instantly.
"What happened?"
"Nothing, the doctor is coming." I tell her.
"Alex is gonna be fine. Thanks to your blood donation Ms. Heath, she will be better. I just put her on some new medications that she must take once a day. She is sleeping right now but you can see her when she wakes up."
"Okay thank you so much." Tobin and I say.
We both decide to wait in the waiting room until she wakes up because we wanted her to rest for a while. As we wait Carli and Kelley come.
"Hey ARod, hey Tobs" Kelley says.
"So how is she?" Carli asked.
"She's fine now, she just sleeping. But she wouldn't be as good if it weren't for our angel Tobin Heath." I say smiling at them.
"What did you do Tobs?" Kelley asked.
"I donated blood for her." Tobin replied with a smile.
"Now that is a true friendship right there!" Carli says as she gives Tobin a high five.
We all just talked for a while until a nurse came out.
"She's awake now if you want to see her."
We all get up and walk over to Alex's room.
Alex's POV
I woke feeling SO much more better then the first time around. A nurse comes in and checks me and makes sure I'm okay.
"How are you feeling Ms. Morgan?"
"I'm feeling great honestly. Like the first time this happened I was fine but right now I feel different but it's a good difference."
"Well it's probably because the blood that was donated to you was special." The nurse says with a smile.
"I didn't know someone donated blood for me, who did it?"
"Tobin Heath."
I think I just became the happiest person ever when she said that
The nurse gave me my pills and then she left and Tobin, ARod, Kelley, and Carli were there.
"Hey guys!" I say, happy to see them.
"Oh so nice to see you Alex Morgan!" Kelley says.
"Nice of you to come and visit me KO!"
"I'm glad you're okay Alex, we wouldn't want you to miss any of our victory tour games." Carli said.
"I wouldn't want to miss any of it!" I say.
Then I look over at ARod, "thank you Amy, I don't know what I would have done if you weren't there."
"No problem Lex." She says and gives me a hug.
"And Tobin, oh my Tobin Heath. I don't think I would be alive without you. Thank you Tobs, donating blood to me was the best thing I've ever gotten and I don't know how I can repay you."
"You don't have to repay me Lex, your health is more important then anything."
I smiled when she said that. "Thank you." I say and she walks over and gives me a hug. "I love you Tobs, don't forget that."
"Love you to Alex."
"Aww I want a hug!" Kelley said.
"Oh then come here!" I said. Then we were all in one big uncomfortable group hug on my hospital bed.
I was able to get out of the hospital early because I was feeling much better. Tobin and me went back to our room and sat down on the couch.
"So did it hurt when you donated blood? Because I know you don't like needles."
"Yea it did hurt and I was like freaking out a bit but it was fine."
I smiled. "Well we are like sisters now since I have your blood in me."
"I'd give my whole life for you Alex."
"Aww come here"
Then I gave her nice tight hug.
We both watched some movies for a while. Then someone knocked on our door. I got up and opened it. It was Kriegy.
"Hey Kriegy!" I said.
"Hey Alex! How are you?" She asked and gave me a hug.
"I'm good thank you!"
"Hey Tobin" she said as she came in.
"Hey Kriegs"
She put her crutches down and sat on the couch next to Tobin.
"So I've heard a couple things about you Tobin"
"And what's that?"
"Well you are leaving our crippled group and you donated Alex blood!"
"Yep I did!"
"That's awesome"
She stayed there for a while then when she left I took a quick shower and went to bed. Even if it didn't seem like it, today was probably one of the best days ever.
Tobin's POV
Today was my first practice back from my injury. I was excited but nervous that I might hurt it in some way. I got my bag and got all my soccer stuff ready. Since it was still early I decided to get Alex's stuff ready.
"Good morning" she said as she walked out of her room.
"Good morning. You ready to go? I ask.
"Yea let me get my stuff ready first.
I held her bag in front of her and she just smiled.
"Oh just kidding." She laughed then we both went off to practice.
Once we got there I put my shin guards and cleats on and grabbed a ball and started to juggle it. It was hard, I messed up s couple of times.
"Still got your moves Heath?" Lauren asked me.
"Sort of."
"It's okay I'll help you get your moved back."
"Thanks Cheney."
We all gathered around coach Ellis because she needed to talk to us.
"Alright ladies! We have our first game in a week and it's against Colombia. We are gonna win every game but have fun as well. It's a victory tour. So let's work hard at practice and have fun!"
We all cheered and went to work. Coach let me take it a little easy a bit. Lauren and Alex helped me out a bit which I was thankful for.
Alex and me passed the ball to each other for a couple of minutes.
"Come on Tobin try using your right leg"
I listened to her and started passing the ball with my right leg. It felt weird.
"There we go! You just need to keep practicing."
"Yea I know, I'm just kind of scared I'm gonna hurt it."
"You'll be fine Tobin I'll help your through it."
"Thanks"
After practice we went back to our hotel and once I got to my room I just fell onto the bed exhausted. Well this is the road to recovery and I'm willing to take it.
The next week.
First game back and I was like freaking out. We went to the locker room and got ready for our game against Colombia. The stands were packed with fans during warm up.
Carli gathered us in for a little pre game chat. "Alright ladies it's game time! Let's show them who the World champions are! USA on three
1.....2......3 USA!" We yell.
We all line up and head out on the field. I stand behind Alex.
"You ready Tobs?"
"Yes I am." I say. Them she gives me a hug.
"For good luck." Alex says
"Thank you." Then we head out on the field.
Alex's POV
We head out on the field and the national anthem for both sides play. After that the game start. The game went well for the most part. I keep on checking on Tobin to see if she was okay with her knee.
I get the ball at the top of the box and find Tobin running towards the goal. I pass her the ball and she kicks the ball really hard and she scores!! 1-0 USA!
I run over to Tobin and see her sit on the grass and hold her knee. I quicken my pace and finally get to her.
"You okay Tobin?"
She smiles and nods
"It just felt weird." She laughed.
I helped her up and gave her a hug.
"Nice goal Toby!"
