Chapter 5

Beth...

I woke up this morning thinking about everything that Dillon has told me about us being mates and that I have a wolf. So what I came up with is trying to help out Dillon with this then work on it myself, I know exactly who I need to talk to.

Lunch was here and as always the girls and I sat in my office talking about everything that happened over the weekend.

"Since we don't have any appointments this afternoon you girls can have it off, I want to call my father and talk to him alone. Don't worry about the phone calls coming in the office I can handle that."

Of course, I was getting weird looks from them but they were okay with it and left for the day. I pick the phone up and called my father.

Father - "Hello sweetie, how you doing?"

Me - "I'm doing fine um, can you come by my office I need to talk to you about something?"

Father - "Sure no problem, I will be there shortly."

While I was waiting for my father I decided to clean the waiting area. I heard the door open and there he stood, my father, I gave him a big smile.

"Hey, thanks for coming by," I said happily.

"Hey, sweetheart, sure no problem," we hug each other, then we sat down in the waiting area.

"I am glad that you called me I've been wanting to have some alone time with you," he claimed.

"Oh yeah, what about?"

"Well, I wanted to make sure you understand why I couldn't stay with your mom."

"I understand now and I know if my mom was your mate you would have stayed with her but she wasn't. Dad, she did love you so much and she was in a lot of pain after you left, she didn't really have to tell me you can see it in her eyes."

"I hated that I did that to her, she was a wonderful person, I never thought I would fall in love with a woman that was not my mate but when you meet your mate. That love of a mate overpowers everything else."

"I guess you can't help who you fall in love with, huh?" I asked.

"No, you can't, the looks she had are innocent and she was breathtaking just like you Elizabeth," my father said with a smile.

I blush at what my father said about me.

"You even blush just like her," he chuckled.

"Thank you"

"Elizabeth, thank you for giving me a chance to be in your life, um (tears building up in his eyes) If I can go back in time I would have been there from day one, my beautiful daughter I am sorry for hurting you."

I push myself over by holding him and crying at the same time.

"Don't worry about it, I am just glad you are in my life now dad," I said proudly.

The door burst open scaring the crap out of me, my dad jumps up standing in front of me. When I push my dad to the side I see Dillon standing there with a worried face, I quickly got up ran towards him.

"What wrong Dillon, what happened?"

"Beth, you okay? What's going on? Why are you crying?" Dillon was breathing hard.
