Chapter 9

Beth.....

After Dillon had left I was so mad that I wanted to punch him. This is crazy, I had never felt this much anger before this has to be a wolf thing. What the heck was wrong with me I know he was telling me the truth but why can I just let it go. My family came walking in and my dad rush over giving me a tight hug.

"Umm, dad....can't.....breathe....."

"I am just so glad you woke up baby," with watery eyes he said.

I can tell he has been crying, everyone else gave me a hug but Steven hug was different when he pulls back and I look into his eyes he had sadness in them.

"What's wrong Steven?

"Nothing I am just glad we have you back," saying with a smile on his face.

I smile at him giving him a kiss on his cheek. The Doctor came back in to talk to me.

"I want to do another x-ray just to see how your brain looks and if everything checks out you can go home today."

"Well let's get this over with," I responded right away.

Doc left to get the orders ready.

"How is it that I'm recovering so fast?"

"Sweetheart that is your wolf, even though you partly mated with Dillon your wolf healed you up but slowly," my dad claimed.

"Oh, that's right wolf heal up quickly, got it."

Soon the nurses came in and rolled me out. After the x-rays, 3 hours had past and we were all talking up a storm my brother and sister were even planning things to do with me, which I was excited about then the Doc came back in.

"Well, Elizabeth, you can go home everything looks good."

"Thank you so much, Doctor."

"I will have the nurse bring your forms to release you and remember if you have any pain or you black out, come right back in, okay?"

"Yes sir"

"I will go call Dillon," my dad said quickly.

"No!" I responded quickly back.

They all look at me weird.

"Is it okay if I can stay with you guys for a couple of days, I don't feel like seeing or talking to Dillon right now?"

"But honey he is your mate," my father proclaim.

"I know dad and right now I don't want to see him or talk to him, I need time to sort things out on my own."

"That's okay sweetheart you are more than welcome to stay as long as you want," Evelyn replies.

"Thanks, Evelyn," I smiled at her.

"I'm going to pull the car around," Steven said.

Cynthia came in with my paperwork.

"Do you want me to call Dillon for you?"

"No, its okay I'm leaving with my dad and staying at their place for a few days."

"But.....why Elizabeth?"

"Look, Cynthia, I'm still upset with him and I know he is not lying to me I just don't want to see or talk to him right now."

"Okay sweetie whatever you say," Cynthia hugs me.
