Don't Go There (Camren)

Chapter 22

Dinah watched as her friend sped out of the store. "Mila, hold up!" She said trying together with Niall to catch up.
Camila walked even faster. "Mila, wait!" Niall said beside her as he finally catched up to the girl.

"Stop, I need to get away." She could feel the tears well in her eyes. Dinah looked at her friend concerned. She and Niall then shared the same look. She grabbed the Cuban girls arm making her stop. "Mila, talk to us." The other girl sighed hard. She closed her eyes and Dinah knew her friend all too well, to know that she was holding back tears. "Why is everything with this woman so hard?" She said rhetorically. The other two didn't know what to say back but they didn't need to.

"Why does she have to be so confusing? Dinah, she didn't even look at me when we said our goodbyes. Am I that bad? I knew she wouldn't be all too happy knowing I like her but to act like this? The fight we had and now this in the store. Why does she hurt me again and again.." Tears were streaming down her face. Dinah couldn't take it anymore. She walked back to the store. Niall hugged the smaller girl. She held him tight and cried against his chest.

"What's wrong with you?" Dinah came from behind Lauren who was standing outside the store waiting for her mother and her friend to finish shopping. She turned around. "Dinah.." She started but the Polynesian didn't let her. "This girl, you are hurting her." Dinah meant Camila. Lauren looked at the ground sadly but quickly had to recover herself. "Look, we didn't see eachother a lot.. So I don't know what the big deal is. Like.."

Dinah shook her head in disbelief. How could Lauren say such thing?

"Are you still mad at her?" Dinah asked the girl. She had her arms crossed and was ready to slap the older girl in front of her. "I'm not mad, just frustrated at how she screamed at me in the kitchen." Lauren answered coolly. "So just because of the screaming you're mad at her for so long?"

"Look, me and Camz have been through a lot and it just all build up this frustration." She explained, seeming a little confused. Dinah got confused aswell. Didn't she just say her and Camila barely spend time together and now all of the sudden they had been through a lot? "Camz.. She likes me.." Lauren wasn't sure if this was a question or more of a statement. "Well.. I haven't seen it so far." Dinah said wanting to burn Lauren a little by pretending she didn't think Camila liked the girl in front of her.

Lauren immediately jumped in defense. "Well maybe she did it all the times when we were alone!" Dinah shook her head, laughing sarcastically. "You should really get your stories right. I've talked to Clara after the whole fight and she told me things that you had said that really contradicts your actions. And now again you're saying different things."

Lauren tried to stay calm. Could Dinah see right through her? "I.." She started looking at an impatient Dinah who raised an eyebrow. "Why are we even talking about this?"

"Do you even hear what you're saying?!" The taller girl was furious by now. "You gotta keep up with your lies.." She said. "You're saying 'me and Camila didn't see eachother a lot' then suddenly you say, 'we've been through a lot together." She explained Lauren who looked like she got caught.

"You then say I know she likes me this, that and then suddenly when I tell you I haven't seen it you say 'she does it when we are alone' don't want to ruin it for you. But how many times have you guys been alone? How can you say you guys have been through a lot together when before that you said you hadn't seen her a lot?" By now Lauren didn't know what to say. They looked at eachother for a moment and just before Lauren thought she was done, Dinah once again made her feel embarrassed.

"Clara told me that you are disgusted with the fact that Camila likes you since you're stepsisters and all, and that you supposedly knew this already a year ago.. But then why did you just recently change your behaviour towards her? If you knew she liked you a year ago why didn't you then start to ignore her and shit? I asked you the same question weeks ago and still to this day you haven't answered." All the shots were fired. Lauren didn't know what to answer but she couldn't come of like that. It would only make Dinah more satisfied. Just when Lauren was about to say something back Clara and her friend walked out of the store.
