"MOM! DAD! TREVIE!" I squeal and hold them tight against me as mom and dad reach out to hug me, Trevor content with my knees.

"Oh! Honey!" Mom pulled away, tears in her eyes.

"Mom, stop getting so emotional! It's too early for that." I said and hugged my beautiful mother.

"I feel like I haven't seen you in so long, we should've taken you with us." Mom sighed and flicked away the little tear droplets.

"I couldn't come anyway, mom. It is senior year, missing even a day would be unwise. Besides, break's starting on Friday, so it doesn't even matter. And you were only gone two weeks." When the word Friday passed my lips, I was suddenly reminded by the smell of rain and the craving of chocolate.

"Well kiddo, you look great!" Dad exclaims and pulls some of their luggage into the house, "And you haven't burned the house down! I am proud to be the dad of this Darwin." Dad drops all his bags and salutes me; I salute back, "Hey! What about me?!" I hear a little, whining baby voice, I turn and crouch to Trevor's level, looking him in his green eyes, it isn't fair he got Dad's eyes, even mom's were ringed in grey, why was I shitted upon? "How many times do I tell you? We bought you from the store down the street." I said seriously and dad chuckled, mom whacked the back of my head, "Ow!" I said rubbing the impacted area, Trevor stuck his tongue out at me and I did the same.

"Lloyd, sweetie, please take the bags upstairs." Dad perked an eyebrow at mom, "And why don't you help me?" his eyes narrowing a little.

Mom smiled shyly, "Because I'm lazy." She muttered and dad rolled his eyes, "And! And, I need to cook breakfast." Mom recovered quickly, she then giggled and pecked dad on the cheek and he walked away with a shaking head but a dazed smile, "You owe me Stella." Dad's voice resonated from the top of the stairs; mom rolled her eyes, "Downsides of marrying your best friend."

"But you still love me!" Dad's voice now grew louder as he came back down the steps, mom sighed, "Regrettably." Dad shuffled and messed up my mom's hair and mom grumbled and walked inside the house, I didn't see where because it was followed by Trevor grabbing onto my leg, "Trevor! Get off!" I shook my leg and Trevor giggled, "Trevor wants the Loch Ness Monster to give him a ride!"

I rolled my eyes, "The Loch Ness Monster, doesn't exist." I deadpanned.

"Really?" Trevor's eyes grew wide as I nodded, "Then why does it look so much like you?" I looked at my brother with my mouth open wide, "You little brat!" I exclaimed, "Maria, don't call your brother a brat." Mom's voice travelled from the kitchen, I narrowed my eyes at Trevor, "No ice cream for you!" I whispered/exclaimed, "Mom will give me some." He responded in a mocking tone, "Nu-uh, it's kept hidden. I bought while you were gone." I shot him a smirk.

Trevor's eyebrows furrowed and he rubbed his chin, then he looked up at me with a smirk, then he clapped, really loud.

"OW! Mom! Maria hit me!" And he ran into the kitchen, my jaw dropped once again in disbelief, "Maria!" My mom exclaimed, I ran into the kitchen, I see tears streaming down Trevor's face, what a little- "Apologize to your brother." Mom's voice was serious, "But I didn't touch him! He just clapped!" Mom looked at Trevor and he just cried some more, Mom looked at me, "No kid would cry so much like that if they clapped, Maria. Apologize." Her tone was stern, her eyes were angered, I rolled my eyes, no point.

"Sorry Trevor." I spat and he turned around, still whimpered but smirking, I narrowed my eyes, "And mommy?" Trevor cooed, "Yes baby?" Mom questioned distractedly as she opened the fridge and took out some eggs, sausage and bread, placing them on the counter, wise me went shopping a little while ago, I loved mom's cooking so I prepped everything.
