Zach's Perspective

"Happy birthday, honey!" My mother and father woke me up in my bed back home. "Listen, sorry to ask so much for you, but can you come with us to the park? We got you a surprise."

"Do I have to?" I groaned, feeling laziness take over my bones. I also wanted to Skype Jessie before anything else happens.

"Yes, and now." My dad shook my bed to wake me up more. "Trust me, you'll love it. Please come." He pleaded before leaving the room and shutting the door. I groaned, however followed their orders.

I slipped on a plain cream shirt with a pair of jeans before leaving the room and brushing my teeth in the shared bathroom before heading downstairs and seeing a note taped to the door.

Zach, go to the park. Picnic over there. – Mom, Dad and Gray. (btw – HAPPY 17TH BIRTHDAY!)

I groaned, lazy before following the instructions reluctantly.

The park was nearby, not so far away from the house so I got there in almost no time. As they said picnic, I decided to go by the picnic tables that are located by the swings.

I was right.

Before I knew it, my legs started going ahead of me until my arms are wrapped around the girl with light brown hair and my lips pressed against the back of her head.

"Happy birthday, babe." Jessie greeted, before turning her head to face me. I grinned at her, latching my lips onto hers.

"I know you two lovebirds haven't seen each other in person for ages," My mom started. "However, let's eat before we vomit." She teased, making me roll my eyes. "Come on, over here."

I spotted Jessie's mom and step dad talking to my parents, and they had a little baby in Mrs...Grady-Parker or Mrs. Brichard's arms. "What is your mom being called right now?" I murmured into my girlfriend's ear, before she turned to face me. Her lips were millimeters apart from mine, I didn't hear what she said – just saw her lips moving. "What?" I asked, rather stupidly.

"Mrs. Brichard." Jessie whispered back. "She wanted to get rid of the whole Grady part."

"Are you still Jessie Grady-Parker?" I clarified.

"Changed it to Jessie Grady." She shrugged, making me slightly grin.

"Oh really now?" I teased, before pressing my lips to hers for a quick peck. "So, what's his or her name?"

"Xavier."

"Hey, Jessie!" Gray called for her attention. God damn it, do I have to share her with my brother? "So, have you heard any news about Jurassic World?"

"Uh," She mumbled. "Not right now." She then looked like she had an idea. "Do you want to swing?" Gray grinned, nodding. That twelve year old is still an eleven year old at heart.

It's been about fifteen minutes; Jessie and I kept pushing Gray, alternating every few swings. Even at this moment where we just push someone repeatedly, I felt happy and...this indescribable feeling because of Jessie's presence. I kissed her lips, interrupting her push, making her kiss back before being pushed away.

"Ow." She laughed at her pain, being hit from the back of the swing.

"Oops, you okay?" Gray asked, through the fit of laughter we all went through.

"Yup." She groaned, still laughing as I pulled her close again and kissed her lips, making sure to stray from the swings.

"Picture time!" my mom cheered.

"Ugh." I groaned.

"Come on," Jessie grinned, nudging me. "Might as well." I agreed. Jessie can make me do anything; it will be the death of me. Gray stopped the swing before my mom squished us together. Jessie put her head on Gray's shoulder, making me put my head on his other shoulder, my arm wrapping around Jessie.

"Finally!" My mom joked before walking back to the table.

I needed to tell Jessie something.

I pulled her away, towards the corner. We've been together for a year now, yet we've never said those three words.

"I love you."
