Mrs. Jennifer Grady-Parker's Perspective

It was all in slow motion. One moment, you know your daughter is fine with your brother, a recognized Navy seal, and the next moment – you're dropping your glass onto the ground from the news that both your brother and daughter could be dying.

Yes, I know that I haven't been the best mother, and I haven't been present, but I care for her. She is my genes, and the girl I have been trying to get sober for. I wanted to make up for the years I have never seen her, however it turned out she desired to be back there.

Thank god for Harry. Harry has been my boyfriend for two years, and is a teacher over at the public school that Jessie went to. Harry explained to me how Jessie was being bullied, teased for living in Jurassic World and for him being a teacher. 'Jurassic World, more like Jurassic Girl!' he repeated. 'Reptile girl', 'Dinosaur girl', 'teacher's pet' and so on. They even held me against her in these insults. She was ahead of her class, however so she moved up, but the insults never stopped.

We made a deal, however she had to break it this year. She skyped us every few weeks, her face having a smile unlike the sorrow faced girl I would see when she came back from school.

Her Uncle loved her like a daughter, and she loved him like she was supposed to love both her mother and father combined. He was her hero.

I was supposed to be that for her.

I can never be.
