"This is so weird." I laughed as I stared at Zach's face on the screen. He was dressed in a suit, while I was wearing a fancy blouse. He organized our first date to be over Skype, and we were both eating McDonalds while in fancy clothing. Our screens showed similar backgrounds, as he requested. We both sat by a table with a white cloth on it.
"I think you look gorgeous!" He exclaimed, hand over heart making me laugh. I found it weird how the introduction between his parents and my mom with her boyfriend led them to be very good friends – it's kind of strange.
"And you look handsome." I smiled, chuckling slightly as I took a bite from a chicken nugget.
"IS THAT JESSIE?" I heard Gray call.
"Nooo, we're on a dateeeee." Zach whined, as Gray jumped in front of him.
"Hey, Jessie!" Gray jumped. "How are you? We got a dog and named it Echo – Zach's and my own idea." Zach was blushing and hiding his face in a face palm. "Also! He talks non stop about you."
"Okay, it's time for you to go." Zach mumbled, pushing him away.
"But I want to talk to Jessie!" Zach gave me a pleading look.
"Hey bud, I'll talk to you later, okay?" Gray nodded before skipping off. I miss them. Even if it has been less than a month.
"How is your, uh..." He trailed off.
"Chicken nuggets." I chuckled.
"High class, five star chicken nuggets?" He continued, making me laugh as he took a bite from a huge burger.
That was when I didn't realize that we would be officially girlfriend and boyfriend by January.
