It was nightfall in Endor. There was a big opening with many tents placed and soldiers walking everywhere. There was a bonfire in the middle and they had something cooking, which smelled delicious. My stomach grumbled. I hadn't eaten in hours but I needed to clean up first.
I was only looking from the forest so I quietly backed away in search of the nearest river. It wasn't long before I heard water but to my surprise it was a lagoon with a water fall. I but my things on a tree stump and slipped off Terrowin's shirt and Vanbrance's ring. I didn't want those reminders to perish in the water.
I took off what was left of my dress and walked into the shallow end. It was wonderful. The lagoon seemed to shimmer a bright blue and the waterfall was soothing. I let the water fall through my hair and I stepped back a bit but I bumped into something.
I turned around and saw a man with red hair turn around and when he saw me, his brown eyes widened and his boyish face turned red. It took me a few seconds to react. I covered myself with my hands and let out a scream. He shielded his eyes and I ran out of the water as quickly as I could.
I was soaking wet but I pulled on a dress and just as I was grabbing my bag, the amulet started glowing. "Curse this damn necklace!" I said between clenched teeth. I grabbed the amulet with intentions of throwing it against the ground but it was to valuable.
"Hey!" I turned to see the man, now with pants, heading in my direction. His face was still a bit red from the incident. "I'm so sorry! I didn't realize there was anyone in the lagoon." I grabbed the sword. "Stay away from me." He backed off a bit looking at the sword than back to me. "Hey, I said I was sorry. Your the first woman I have ever seen naked. I swear."
That was an apology? But I took advantage of this to get to know more. "So, you're a virgin. How old are you and what is your name?" His face turned red again. " Umm... I'm Marcus, I'm 18 and I'm a knight for King Ascot. And yes... I'm a virgin..." He was so embarrassed that I just had to laugh. "Ok, ok. Your forgiven." So innocent and young. And to think that I'd have to kill him...
"Let me make it up to you. Are you hungry?" My stomach growled. I put my finger to my chin. "Hmmm... Well... Ok I guess." He smiled but the. Turned serious. "But you'll need to have armor on. Nobody can know that there is a woman in camp. You can take mine. It should be about small enough that it won't fall off."
I nodded and he handed me the legs. "Umm... How am I going to wear this? I'm in a dress you know." He threw me a pair of pants. "Put those on. Do you have a shirt?" I remembered I had Terrowin's... "Yes..." I motioned for him to let me change. We didn't want to repeat the incident again.
He laughed nervously and headed towards the lagoon again with his back to me. I pulled off the dress and put pants and a shirt on. It felt weird. I could move much more freely with these. I put the armor on and it fell loosely on my shoulders. "I'm done!" He took me by the hand and pulled me along into the forest....
The next morning I awoken alone in a tent Marcus had set up for me. I hadn't even taken off my armor. I looked around and found a fresh bowl of fruit and berries. Marcus peeked into my tent and I was about to take my helmet off. "No!" My head snapped to look at him. "You can't do that here." He motioned for me to come with him. He took the bowl of fruit and he ran towards the forest and I followed but I bumped into someone.
"Where do you think you're going soldier?" I looked up to see a tall man with long black hair wearing chain-male. He crossed his arms and waited for an answer. "Umm..." I tried to make my voice manly and what do you know? The amulet started glowing. Just my luck. "To take a piss, sir." I kicked myself internally. Was I stupid?
He raised one of his eyebrows suspiciously, but let me pass. "Very well." I ran over to the forest where Marcus was waiting anxiously. He glared in the direction I had come from and we walked until we arrived at the lagoon again. I took the helmet off and I was sweating. "Gross." I removed every piece of armor and jumping into the water with clothes on.
I looked towards Marcus and he was pacing in front of the trees nervously. I could see his lips moving but couldn't hear what he was saying. He stopped abruptly and look towards me then back to the forest. He stopped briefly to think before calling me. "Come here! Hurry." I tried running but in the water it's a slow process. I struggled to get out of the water and his eyes widened.
Marcus's POV
My eyes widened as she got out of the lagoon. Her clothes clung to her figure tightly and the way she swayed her hips... My heart sped up and I blushed. I couldn't believe I didn't even know her name and I was already falling for her. "Come on! Hide here." I signaled to a bush and she shivered. I took off my shirt and gave it to her. I turned around and glared at the figure entering the clearing.
"Brother, what a surprise to see you here." I clenched my teeth. Feldspar. His long black hair swayed a bit with the wind as he walked towards me. "What do you want?" He stopped and took out his sword. "To battle as always." He smiled mischievously. "Of course, I will win." I exhaled exasperated. "Not today. I'm... Busy."
His smile disappeared and he looked at me bored. "Such a stick in the mud..." His tone changed suddenly. "You've been acting of strange these days. Is there anything you'd like to tell me about?" He couldn't find out about the girl I was hiding in the bushes. She is such a beauty that he would want to steal her from me.
"Why would I hide anything?" He pointed with the sword to the bushes. "Well then, what's that I see moving in the bushes?" My heart dropped and he smiled. "It's a woman, right?" I shook my head denying what he said. "Finally! I thought you would never find a woman." My jaw dropped. What?
"So did you two already...?" My face turned red in embarrassment. "No! I don't know what you're talking about!"
He laughed. "Come on little brother. You can't hide things from me and you know that. So... Aren't you going to introduce me to her?" I hung my head in defeat and walked over to the bushes where she was already with armor and helmet on. I looked towards Feldspar again. "Promise you won't tell anyone back at camp?" He crossed his heart with one finger so I sighed and motioned for her to come out. "It's ok now. You can come out."
She came out walking with sword in hand without saying anything. My brother made his way towards us and extended her his hand. "I'm Feldspar and who might you be?" She shook his hand and took off her helmet and my brother raised both his eyebrows in surprise. I sighed. Here we go.
Feldspar's POV
She took off the helmet and it was as if I had seen heaven itself. "Nice to meet you Feldspar." Her voice was magnificent and how she sounded saying my name... I looked at me brother. "You did good Marcus. You did good." He shook his head covering his eyes. I wanted her but she was with my brother. I needed to learn more about this woman. "Well, I'll leave you two alone." I winked towards my brother. I turned towards the forest but remembered something. "By the way, I didn't get a chance to catch your name."
She nervously twirled a strand of her hair. "Umm... Well you see, I don't really like my name so call me Emerald." The smile she gave almost stopped my heart but I turned around quickly so that Marcus couldn't see my face. He would know that I wanted her. I retreated into the forest and looked back over my shoulder to see Marcus kissing her. I turned my head to the side. I could have any woman I wanted to have. I was a commander in battle and attractive the eye. But there was something about tho girl that was different. I needed to make her mine. I'm sorry Marcus but I need to do this...
