A young and scrawny looking sinner is seen running through the streets of Pentagram city, his breath hitched with every step that he took. It was heavy and suffocating, but it was not heard through the screams and chaos going on around him. His feet not stopping for a second as the sound of slicing of flesh and blood splattering on the sidewalk echoed all around the area.

His eyes scanning the many sinners that were perishing and being chased. And he was no different, looking behind himself, he spots atleast 3 exorcists tailing him. Their glowing wide smiles seemingly burning itself in his mind, with every millisecond of time telling him that they're getting closer and closer.

Dragging his eyes away from them, he tried to think of a way to survive. Perhaps a sort of power that comes in his time of crisis, a gentle voice that will make him feel calm while also giving the stength of a god to turn around and fight these indestructible creatures. But only reality came, no matter how many times he wished for something to happen.

He knew he won't get any further, but that doesn't stop him from trying. Turning, he went inside of a 3 story building, hoping that there are objects that he can use to slow down his pursuers while aslo silently whispering to himself that he doesn't screw someone else who may be hiding there.

Getting through the open door, he quickly closed them clumsily and locked it for his own reassurance. It was empty, the only remnants remaining being the signs of a slaughter that occured, the blood splatters and torn clothes lying on the floor telling a brutal story. But he didn't have time to feel sad or remorseful.

A loud bang came from the door, it's hinges almost giving out catching his attention, he knew better than to believe that will hold them back for long. Quickly he went up the set of stairs, the sound of the door being bashed down continuing to ring behind him. He can't catch his breath yet, but he also got what he needed, more time.

Going to one of the rooms and closing the door once more, he made his way to the window with a fire exit behind, quickly fidling with it with his shaky hands slipping and struggling to open it fully. His hands sweating as his eyes dart from the closed window and to the door of the room where slow footsteps are heard. The tapping tune almost sounded like a taunt, making fun of how his time was almost over again. Having reached nothing when he was alive, and no better when he died.

He was ready to accept his faith when a glow of yellow engulfed the window. And in a flash it quickly disappeared, looking at it in disbelief he didn't have time to question as the footsteps came to a stop right infront of the room he's in. Jumping to the fire escape outside as quickly as he can, although looking around, his already pale face seem to lose more color as the rest of the steps going down was no where to be seen. Going up didn't feel right either as it basically made him more visible to all the flying exorcists in the area. He didn't know where else to go, but he knew he had to keep going.

'Jump' a voice suddenly whispered in his mind, as if calling for him to do the unthinkable. Looking at the fall, it wasn't the highest of places and he knew he won't die since he was a sinner. But risking any injuries when your being chased didn't seem like a smart idea at all either.

Against his better judgement though, he went for it. Taking a breath and a head start he leaped into the air trusting the random voice that came up to his head. Perhaps he was simply going insane but it didn't matter to him anymore.

Falling to the ground at high speed, all he can do was close his eyes and brace for impact...

... But it never came, instead he opened his eyes to see himself glowing yellow and floating a few inches above the pavement of the alleyway he was in. He didn't know what was going on, but before he can process it, the light faded away and gently placed him on the ground.
