Sorry I didn’t update yesterday, wrote a really long Ed Sheeran imagine and I was worn out after lol XD You can probably tell I changed the name, I just felt like spicing things up a bit so yea, hope you like.

I was planning on this being shorter but I might make it a little longer (the book I mean, not the chapter) so yea enjoy!

Dating Harry Styles is not easy.

Mary learned this quickly, almost as soon as she arrived in her apartment the pictures of them kissing were all over the internet. From what she saw, twitter was in a riot, TMZ was having a field day and the other boys of One Direction were trying hard to squash rumors.

@NiallOfficial: not sure where these rumors are coming from! Been home all day…but as far as I know harry doesn’t have a girlfriend! Xx

@Louis_Tomlinson: it was just one kiss guys, Harry isn’t getting married. We’ll tell you if that were the case!

Mary sighed and shut her computer. Harry hadn’t tweeted anything about it but she was sure he would have to soon. And sooner or later people would find out who she is and someone would come forward and tell everyone she was sick. And Harry would find out too. She didn’t want to lose him so soon after getting him. And now that he revealed his secret to her she felt closer to him than she had to anyone before. They’d only met a few days ago but already she felt like she could tell him anything.

She just couldn’t tell him that she had cancer. That was too big of a secret.

Mary fell asleep that night without even changing out of her clothes, dreaming of a world where she could be herself for once.

That night was like heaven for Harry. He went home and took a long shower, had a cup of tea and fell asleep watching The Notebook, the whole time thinking of Mary.

She was the first girl, the first person besides the other band members, that he had told his secret too. And to find out she had the same secret made him feel a lot better, safer even. The reason he never got into a relationship while in the band before was because he never found anyone he could be real with completely without the fear that she would reveal everything to the world. Harry was good at keeping secrets, his and other peoples, but it seemed like everyone he met was barely able to keep the smallest thing to himself.

When he woke up Louis was in the kitchen making breakfast. He walked into the kitchen, as usual, wearing nothing.

Louis turned around and spotted him. “Oh come on Harry! I know you own clothes, why do you insist on not wearing any??”

Harry smirked and got a blanket from the living room, wrapping it around himself. “Because it feels good. And you know you like it.”

Louis rolled his eyes and muttered something that sounded like “you’re delusional”. Harry laughed and pulled out his phone to check twitter.

“You might not want to check out the news yet. They’re spreading some crazy rumors around” Louis said as he piled a plate with eggs.

That got Harry’s attention. “How do they even know already??”

“Some paparazzi followed you to her place. Took pictures. They were on the internet in 10 minutes.”

Harry groaned and put his head down on the table. Mary didn’t want to talk to him in the first place because he was famous, now he just finished getting her to trust him, to see that he was a real person, and here they are all over the news. The other boys had had girlfriends in the past that broke up with them because of the fame. Mary was probably going to leave him before they even started going out. This was exactly what she told him she didn’t want.
