Harry was the one who woke up to an empty bed this time, only Mary left a note.
I ran home to change. Be back soon :)xx
He smiled and stretched his arms over his head. Today was the day, in an hour he was going to tell everyone that he cut, or used to, since he hadn’t done it in almost 2 weeks now. He was nervous, but he knew that it had to happen. Any excuse to stop wearing that makeup on his arms was good enough for him, besides, Mary had given him the boost of confidence he needed. Out of everyone he met since becoming famous, which was a lot, only she was able to push him to be who he really was. That was special.
Harry got up and out of bed, only to find his T-shirt she was wearing folded neatly on the desk chair. She was almost as OCD as he was, they were a good match. He went into his bathroom and got in the shower, being quick because he knew there wasn’t much time. He dried off, shook out his hair, put on a pair of skinny jeans and a short sleeved shirt and then hesitated in front of the mirror. The scars were in full view. He didn’t know if he should put on makeup or not. Grimmers’ show was on the radio, so it wasn’t like anyone would see before he started talking, but there might be paparazzi outside who would leak the story before he even got in the building. Plus, if management got to him before he went on live and saw his arms they would figure it out in no time. He sighed and pulled off his shirt and threw on a long sleeved button up instead. When he was done he left the bathroom, grabbed his phone and keys and walked out into the kitchen with 25 minutes to spare.
Louis was sitting at the kitchen counter. He smiled at his best friend until he turned the bend that revealed the dining room. Sitting at the table were the other 3 boys. He hadn’t told them his plans, actually he wasn’t going to. They might try to talk him out of it or spill something to management first. But of course they were here; of course Louis would’ve called them.
Louis saw Harry’s face fall and walked over to him, putting an arm around the taller boy. “I figured they ought to know.”
Harry groaned and glared at his best friend.
“Don’t be mad at him, Harry. We actually think it’s a great idea” Liam spoke up from his chair. Zayn was sitting in the middle, half asleep as usual. Niall was on the end and eating what looked like corn on the cob. Not even sure where that came from.
“Yea, we’re here for you mate. Right Zayn?” he elbowed Zayn who jumped up and looked confused. “Where am I?” he asked.
Harry laughed at him, feeling a little better now. “So if management gets mad, you won’t be mad at me?”
“If management gets mad at one of us, then they’re mad at all of us” Louis said, pulling Harry into a seat across from the other boys. “We’re in this together.”
Liam had wide eyes. “Like in High School Musical?”
Zayn stared at him. “How old are you?”
“Just go back to sleep, bad boy” Liam mocked him. Zayn didn’t attempt to argue back, instead he put his head down on the table and shut his eyes.
There was a knock on the door, probably Mary. Louis called for her to come in. They still had 20 minutes before they had to be at the station, which was 10 minutes away. Harry sighed, the anticipation was making him crazy.
Mary came in a shut the door before walking into the dining room. She was wearing a white T-shirt and her leather jacket along with black skinny jeans that matched Harry’s. On her head was his green beanie, which he hadn’t even realized was missing from his own head when he woke up, and she wore little makeup. Beautiful was all Harry thought.
