"I wish to live forever and ever!"
I confidently made my wish; hoping it would come true.
"Aww, come on! That's a lame wish!"
"No, it's a great wish!" I replied harshly.
Joshua asked, tears welling up in his eyes. "But what happened to being best friends forever?"
"That too! We'll always be friends no matter what!" Grinning, I hugged him tightly hoping my feelings would get through to him.
"Promise?"
"I promise."
