As I headed into town, there were many people shopping.
For some reason, everything was sped up. Everyone around me was moving too fast.
What is going on? Is this a dream?
I pinched myself. No I'm plainly awake.
Then, I fell forwards, face down, flat, on the asphalt.
"Oh! Sorry! Didn't see you there!"
I slowly got on my knees and looked up at my intruder.
"_____? Is that you? Wow, I can't believe I ran into you! What an amazing coincidence!"
Who? Oh this person is calling me..The only friend I really have...
"Joshua?!" My eyes were wide open in surprise as we hugged.
"I havent seen you in two years! How are you?"
Two years? What was he saying? It'd only been a week.
"Dead." I replied.
"Haha! You and your humor!" He patted my back, but it felt like a tremendous blow had been dealt instead.
"So are you still? You know..."
"No. I live on my own now."
"Oh. Well wanna go grab a cup of coffee? I'd like to talk."
"Sure." I replied disinterested.
