"Don't you remember our promise?" He glared down at me with ill intent.
I shaked my head quickly as my body began to shake nervously.
"We were going to grow old together! Best friends forever! Live together and die together!"
He was screaming so loudly, at the top of his lungs, that I had to cover my ears.
"I'm sorry Joshua!"
"If you're sorry then make it up to me."
"Yes! I'll do anything Joshua!"
"Anything?" He glanced down at me.
For some reason, his eyes brightened up, but an unremovable grin remained.
"Let's die together."
