Chapter 5 No!

***After breakfast***
Clary's pov

My hands were shaking. Seb and I had already brought luke into the library and now we're just waiting for jace to come in so we could tell Luke the truth. I was beyond nervous and looking over at seb holding luke in his lap I could tell so was he. Sitting wasn't helping so I got up and looked out the window out onto the deserted new york street.
"Daddy, mommy why are we in here?"Luke out the blue ask. I don't know what to say so I look over at seb who just gives a little nod.
" Luke..." Just as i'm about to tell him jace walks in. And seb crushes luke into his chest more. I look over at jace and he noddes for me to continue.
"Baby, you know me and dad love you. Love you more than anything in this world. And I'm so sorry that we haven't been absolutely truthful with you. But now we are. You know that some of these new people are mommy's blood family."
"Ya mommy I'm confuse."
"I'm sorry baby. What I'm trying to say is you see this guy over here..." I ask pointing over at jace. Once I see luke nod I continue." Well he is your real dad." I finally look luke in the eyes and see he has tears in his eyes.
"No!no no!" Luke jumps out of seb arms and start to run to the door when jace grabs him and kneels down looking into a struggling Luke's face.
"Let go leave me alone." Seb gets up and starts stalking over to Jace with a look that could kill.
"Listen to me ok. I know to you seb is your dad but please just hear me out. I didn't ever know about you. I didn't even know you existed. I made a huge mistake that made me lose that chance and I have and will forever will regret that mistake but ..." before he can finish alec opens the door. Jace is distracted for a few seconds and that's all that luke needs to bolt out the door.
My feet react before my head knows what is going on. I bolt out the door after luke. I look ahead of me and see luke in the elevator. The door closed before I lay a hand on the doors. I don't waste time I just run toward the stairs taking them two at a time.
I'm almost to the bottom when I hear luke shout and run faster what I see at the bottom makes me stop in my trackes.
