a lot had happened that day.

luke didn't sleep much that night.

what could he expect?

he was in like, a twilight zone.

and he was stuck there for a month.

luke paced around his room frantically, trying to make some sense of what he's been hearing out of the radio.

he couldn't get rid of it. it was drilled into the dresser, physically impossible to move or destroy.

but the voice...

luke couldn't deny the voice. he needed to hear it again. he needed to make something out of it.

he scratched at his head, debating whether or not he should turn it on himself.

"fuck it."

luke got up and turned the dial, hoping for the best, expecting the worst.

please please please please, luke thought.

he messed around with the dial, until he heard static.

the static turned into words.

"hello, and i'm sorry. a salutation and a farewell. i don't have much time."

luke's eyes widened in horror and curiosity at the same time.

he continued to listen.

"this times new roman is going to fly from my fingertips, like a plague of moths".

the mystery voice continued to make poetic one-liners, until they began to get to their point.

"this place is disgusting. a corpse of what it used to be. the people are imaginary, and gluttonous."

luke took every word into serious consideration.

there needed to be some meaning behind this.

but the radio stopped, and the static went out.

"fuck!" luke hissed.

he honestly felt like he was going mad.

luke needed to take a break.

luke had taken a bus into the city of badlands, and was astonished by the lights that shined so brightly, even in the day.

there were neon sighs everywhere, each advertising a different company and cause.

luke was in awe as he walked down the sidewalks, surprisingly buzzing with all different types of people.

some had extremely bright hair, all different colors, and some were so dull that they stood out. even those people seemed extraordinary to luke.
