Awalmir's POV

I run my fingers through my hair. The sharp smell of antiseptics and medicines is making me nauseous. My feet keep moving  pacing down the hospital hallway I just can't sit still.

The doctors are still inside Zurfasha's room.

Why are they taking so long?

My heart is pounding so violently I can feel its echo in my ears.

Shehzaib is with me. Wajih is inside the room with the doctors.

After what feels like an eternity the door finally opens. The doctor walks out and speaks briefly to Wajih who listens intently then nods. Without saying a word to me  the doctor leaves.

Wajih turns back toward Shehzaib and me still anxious  still helpless.

I walk up to him, the tension in my chest unbearable.

"Zurfasha theek hai? Koi khatra ki baat toh nahi hai?"

(Is Zurfasha okay? There's no serious danger, right?)

Wajih exhales slowly.

"Bhabhi theek hain. Khatre se baahir hain. Unhein wohi dose di gayi thi jo unki tabiyat ko trigger kar sakti thi. Lekin jis ne diya... woh bohat professional tha. Use andaza tha ke kitni dose se patient coma mein jaa sakta hai, aur kitni se maut ho sakti hai."

(Bhabhi is okay. She's out of danger. She was given just enough of a dose to trigger her condition but whoever did it was extremely professional. They knew exactly how much could lead to coma, and how much could cause death.)

I step back  nearly collapsing on a bench.

She is fine.

SHE. IS.FINE!

GOD!... SHE IS FINE!

But the relief fades when I hear Shehzaib's voice.

"Zurfasha yahan safe nahi hai. Main usse ghar le jaa raha hoon. Discharge papers tayar karo, aur ek female nurse ya doctor assign karo. Ab main uski zindagi ko aur khatre mein nahi daal sakta."

(Zurfasha isn't safe here. I'm taking her home. Get the discharge papers ready and assign a female nurse or doctor. I can't risk her life anymore.)

I look up at him. That doesn't sit right with me.

"Zurfasha tumhara ghar nahi jaayegi."

(Zurfasha won't go to your house.)

i said firmly leaving no room for  arguments. Shehzaib raises an eyebrow.
