Mind Full of Rainbows

How many rainbows are

Fluttering like deformed butterflies

On the inside of my headspace,

Beautifully aloof and transient,

Like teacups smashing in a storm,

If science says that white light

Blooms on the retina of my eye

Then passes through

into a kaleidoscope of colours

Into my awaiting brain?
