Dexinaiya was outside in the back of club near her car. After her encounter with Aaron, her mind has not stopped turning. She had changed into a tank top and a comfortable pair of shorts before she came outside for a break. She brought an energy drink to sip on as she tries to relax in the muffled club music.
Why is he here? out of all places to see him again why does it have to be at the club.
Closing her eyes, Dexinaiya breathes out. She needed a smoke . She hadn't smoked in months. Deciding to squat down, she rubbed the side of her arm where cigar scars were left by her father when he found out about her smoking habit. It didn't do anything to hinder her want for them, she just wanted them more. Taking a sip from her drink she sets it down next to her . She rest her head on her knees , thinking about Aaron. The way he held her, his gentle touch to her skin, those eyes , those beautiful brown eyes. Dexinaiya smiles to herself at the thought of him.
is she really crushing on him? so pathetic.
Shaking her head Dexinaiya moves her head to see the customer parking lot next to her. There were so many cars, which one was his?
The sound of heels hitting the floor closer to where Dexinaiya was made her stand up, grabbing her drink from the floor. She looked at the door next to her open and the familiar blonde curls poke around.
" Dexinaiya, go get me a snack from the gas station, and your father wants cigars......, he needs to talk to you when you get back."
Dexinaiya nodded at her mom, before looking back at the customer parking lot. She didn't care to interact with her mom. Her mom thought otherwise, interacting with Dexinaiya gave her opportunities to make herself feel better.
" whats wrong sweetheart? was it the VIP Room? you know whatever happens in that room is for your own good. this is your job."
" yes mom I know, it doesn't matter now"
Dexinaiya's mom walked up to her now and started to play with Dexinaiyas hair. She could feel the slight tugs on her hair as her mom started to look at it.
" you should really cut this hair, its getting too long, its passed your butt, and look at the ends , their curling. I am the only one who should have curls Dexinaiya"
Her mom pulled her hair hard enough for Dex's head to Jerk.
" Mom!, okay I will cut it when I get home"
Dexinaiya moved away from her mom as she gathered her hair onto one side of her shoulder. Looking at the curls forming at her ends she tried to brush them out with her fingers.
" good, now hurry up and get my shit"
Looking at her mom go back inside the club , Dexinaiya sighed. She wasn't in the mood to cry again so she heads back in to get her bag.
As Dexinaiya drives out of the club parking lot she noticed a row of similar black cars. She internally thanks the universe for letting her leave.
Once she gets to the gas station, she hurries up inside. There is a lot more people hanging outside then usual. She makes a B-line to the snack isle to grab a bag of animal crackers and pretzels, her moms favorite. Placing them on the counter she rummages through her bag for her wallet.
" Give me a pack of cigarillos"
" you look a little young to be smoking cigars miss"
Dexinaiya looked up from her wallet at the cashier, her face unamused. He looked about her dads age.
" yeah well they aren't for me"
" right, that'll be 23.50 little lady"
Dexinaiya gave the guy cash and left the store without a second look at him.
