Note: I love summer, but what is it about this season where the air quality turns to crap? It makes me sick, which doesn't help my existing health problems.

Chapter Eight: Part Five
Blutkrieger
Albert saw the missive on King Franz's desk. He knew that it must have been another plea for help from Feenpfad. He also knew that King Franz was going to ignore it like he ignored the other missives from Lord Wisp.
It may cost us, but...for now, we have to focus on this.
"It's ready, Your Majesty," Albert told the King. "Once we commence, there is no turning back. At your order, we will begin."
King Franz sat for a long moment of silence. Despite his outward demeanor, Albert knew that the loss of all his legitimate heirs, especially Princess Philomena, weighed on his mind. It was an inevitability given King Franz's ambition, but the reality of it was still a lot to take in.
Finally King Franz slowly nodded and stood. "I'm ready. Commence Plan B."

Having recruited the Forest Pixies, the residents of Feenpfad were all too happy to speak the common tongue with Astraea and her group. Much to her disappointment she didn't see a Silver Hammer as a rare item at the Item Shop, but the Item Shop did have two extraordinarily rare items; an Old Book Volume II, and another play. "'Betrayal of Blood'?" she read aloud.
"That will be 9,000 Potch, please," the shop owner said cheerfully. Astraea winced but paid the fee for both. Astraea quickly flipped through the play and it made her heart clench. It was based around the Falenan Civil War, and it was about how Lady Sialeeds had betrayed Prince Freyjadour to the usurpers the Godwins.
Family betrayal...why does it have to be so prevalent in this world? Nonetheless she resolved to pass the play off to Nour and the book to Philibert when they got back to HQ.
When she used the Blinking Mirror to get back, Astraea was once again unsurprised to see that the Forest Pixies had arrived ahead of them and had established their new home in the forest that surrounded her castle. "You're all dismissed, thank you," she said to her party.
"Good, I need a drink after that," Viktor said, slinging an arm around Gwenette's shoulder. "Come on sweetheart, you could use a drink too!"
"Ah—" Gwenette began.
"If you think to get her drunk for your own nefarious means, I will make you sorry," Kion growled at him.
"Oi, I don't need to get a lady drunk to bed her!" Viktor said, looking offended. "What do you take me for?!"
Gwenette sputtered loudly and her face turned bright right. "So you are looking to bed her, then?" Katenka asked amusedly.
"The little lady stopped being your concern the minute you callously fired her, Prince," Viktor said hotly. "Come on Gwenette, I'll share some wartime stories with you—"
"I'll accompany you then!" Kion snapped, storming after them.
"It's not necessary!"
"They're acting like children," Naois said, making a face.
Katenka barked out a laugh. "Lighten up, kid!"
"Naois, I'll give you the choice," Astraea said, bringing his attention to her. "I can give you a room in the castle or I could ask one of my siblings to foster you."
