Part 3: The Rain

Jay’s P.O.V

Tom had left the room and I felt a pair of arms snake their way around my waist and pull my body into a hug, Nathan’s arms just seemed to fit me perfectly, his head rested against my chest breeching into the space of my shoulder which i soon realised was bare, along with the rest of my body. I separated from the hug, the warm feeling that had quickly spread through the hug left me and i felt the cold setting into my body. “Well I better get dressed before we venture downstairs Mr Sykes” Nathan raised an eyebrow as he heard the Mr slipped in before his last name, until a smile spread across his face

Fully clothed me and Nathan began to head down the stairs when we saw the TV flicking through thought the various TV channels just as Max walked through the door. Mumbling something about a girl stealing his wallet but as soon as it started the babbling finished. Max walked into the front room and the sound of subtle sobs filled the air mixed with the sound of the TV

“You did what…I really can’t believe you Tom…I thought oh just forget it yeah!”

Max shouted his voice breaking through his accent you could also most hear him holding back the tears through his angry burst. Tom suddenly emerged from the door and looked straight up to me, with Nathan hiding behind, tears stained his lashes and his cheeks as he walked towards the door and slammed it shut. the sound of his foot steps drifting off caking the flat in dead silence

Tom’s P.O.V

I sat in the front room flicking through the channels, just as I was about to change channel again I heard Heart Vacancy come on the TV I felt a tear roll down my cheeks, and I finally started to feel all the different things going on in my brain and in my heart, confusion pouring through me like a river taking up every corner and pushing out any shadows or faith or hope I had left in me right now.

Max- He was so good looking…but he was my best friend, we had been experimenting but nothing serious. I wanted it to be though I don't know what i was doing with him but it. Just. Felt. Right

A small smile spread across my face and I noticed the tears slipping down my neck and chest some of them collecting in the dip of my clavicle.

Jay- He was amazing and a good friend but now i couldn’t get thought of Max off my brain and Jay was with Nathan…

My mind started to wonder, what about poor Seev he loves Nath so much, he hasn't even notice the two of them being all loved up.

As my brain trailed off I looked up to see Max stood in the door frame “Max i just almost shagged Jay and now i’m so confused what do I do” I looked up expecting his usual words of wisdom leaving me feeling more relaxed about the situation and usually in for a kiss making me forget all my worries but instead i looked up the a red faced Max looking ready to blow “You did what…I really can’t believe you Tom…I thought oh just forget it yeah!” His voice cracked at the end of his sentence clearly holding back tears as the tears had clearly began to freely flow my end of the converation again “fine” the words only lightly poured from my mouth

I walked out the room tears staining my cheeks. I looked straight up to see Jay’s eyes eyes looking down towards me seeming to question in that one look why i was so upset and worry laced through his face.

I pushed my body toward the door ignoring anyone who was showing concern towards me. The door smalled behind me and the sound reverbiratted (echoed) through the streets that were coated in a thick layer of rain, continusously falling from the sky above me and trickling down the gutter, as I ran to the only place I felt safe and at peace….
