6: Curiosity Hurts

[Jin's Pov]

Manager hyung: "Bangtan I have good news. You're going to start rehearsals for your upcoming concert and world tour. This will make a difference to your practice schedules because it will go for 12 hours per day. For the next 9 days you will be rehearsing your whole 'the most beautiful moment in life' album on stage, along with many other songs."

Rap monster: "Everyone set your alarms, I'm talking to you Taehyung."

J-Hope: "Alarms won't effect Taehyung, it's like he hibernates every time he falls asleep."

I should head off to bed. As I turn to look forward I find Jungkook staring at me. I made eye contact with him and he immediately looks away. What a strange kid. I was too tired to take Jungkook's actions into mind.

I dive into my bed ready to wake up fresh tomorrow morning for the rehearsals.

J-Hope: "Jin, your phone's ringing. Pick it up before I have to personally leave a message."

Oh that scared me! I almost fell asleep. Does he have to do that? I check anyways to see who it is. It's Minhee. Well I got to pick this one up.

J-Hope: "Eodiga (where are you going)?"

Jin: "I need to take this outside."

I rush out the dorm without anyone noticing. I walk towards the elevators and encounter V.

V: "Hyung what are you doing out here?"

Jin: "It's pretty late what are you doing here?"

V: "Taking out the trash, hey don't avoid my question."

Jin: "Just going to the roof for a second. Got to go the elevators here."

I left V confused when I dashed for the elevator, but I had to pick up the phone before it stops ringing.

Jin: "Yeobsaeyo (hello)."

Minhee: "Oppa what took you so long? Where are you? Is it safe to talk? It's been so long since we have talked I miss you so much. Why aren't you talking? Should I stop so you can talk? Yeobsaeyo (hello)?"

Jin: "Minhee I'm here, I just miss hearing you blab on like you used to. Sorry I've been avoiding your calls lately it's because I can't get away from the members but it's safe now. They're all in the dorms and I just got to the rooftop."

Minhee: "Do you want me to tell you what happened to me today? It's quite funny or not, depends on you maybe you need to be there to get it but I'll tell you anyways."

Jin: "Arasseo (okay) Minhee, I'm all yours so keep letting me hear your sweet voice."

[Jungkook's Pov]

-10 minutes ago-

I'm still searching every single corner of the dorm, but he's nowhere to be found. I gave up on looking for him by myself.

Jungkook: "Does anyone have any idea where Jin went?"

J-Hope: "Oh yea he went out to take a phone call, it seemed important though."

Jungkook: "Taehyung! Hyung! Have you seen where Jin's gone to?"

V: "Ah I just saw him when I was on my way back from dumping the trash. He's taking the elevators up to the rooftop."

I instantly swing the door open and squeeze my way pass V.

V: "Are you running to find Jin? Why are you panicking? What's happening? Let's go together."

V's voice gradually fades as I run further away from him. I didn't any pay attention to what he said because my mind's only directed towards Jin.

Jungkook: "Come on elevator get to my level. Hurry up!"

I jump on the elevator and press the button. But when the door slides open revealing the level of the rooftop I stop to realise what I am doing.

Jungkook, why are you here? What is it that you think you're going to solve if you find Jin at the rooftop? What are you going to get out of this?

I reach for the button to go back down, but I stop to wonder. The actual reason for me coming up here is to remind Jin that we have rehearsals tomorrow.

Oh and would you look at that it's getting quite late! Well someone needs to remind him of the time. I step off the elevator with the intention of only calling Jin back to the dorm. Nothing to do with curiosity.

I turn sideways to figure out which correct door leads to the rooftop. I've never been to this part of our building before. I open a door which leads me to a flight of stairs, at the top is another door. A gush of wind aims my way when I crack open the second door. I step out to find Jin facing his back at me.

Jin: "Minhee I'm here, I just miss hearing you blab on like you used to. Sorry I've been avoiding your calls lately it's because I can't get away from the members but It's safe now. They're all in the dorm and I just got to the rooftop."

Can't get away from us? Are we in the way of your love life? Do we make it inconvenient for you to talk to her freely?

Unfortunately even though I am 10 metres away I can still clearly hear every word he speaks. So you think it's safe now?

Jin: "Arasseo (okay) Minhee, I'm all yours so keep letting me hear your sweet voice."

So her name is Minhee. I shouldn't have come up here, I should've kept convincing myself to go back down. All my curiosity did was hurt me, this was a bad idea.

This ought to keep me up at night.
