"Ward, Ward get out we need the room" I wake up with Simmons shouting at me, I look to Skye to see her body shaking, a lot
"What's happening is she ok, Simmons is she ok?" I snap back with frustration
"Ward I know your worried but you need to leave, let me do my job please" she shouts back and I know she's right I get up and leave and wait outside staring through the window at Simmons rushing around and the nurses passing her the equipment she needed, I sit down knowing it might take awhile, I'm deep in my thoughts until I get a tap on my shoulder I look up to see coulson with coffee in his hand
"Here" he says whilst handing me the coffee, I nod to say thanks, and drink it then continue to look at Skye
"She'll be alright Ward she's a fighter" I look back up at him and nod again, I just don't feel like talking because what I feel right now can't be put into words, as I continue watching Skye with coulson I see she still hasn't stopped shaking, now I know something's wrong and then Simmons comes rushing out
"Can you get me some restraints coulson and quickly please" she says coulson nods and runs and leaves me with Simmons
"Is there any need for that" I shout, she looks at me slightly shocked but still replies "yes, we think she is having a bad dream and that's causing the shaking, we can't seem to wake her up so we'll have to restrain her to stop her from hurting herself" she says sadly
"Can't you give her a sedative?" I ask worried but all that does is cause Simmons to shake her head
"No she's already on a lot of medication so if we gave her that she would OD" I look at her sadly, I still can't process this in my head I just can't believe this is happening, if there is a god up there he sure hates me.
My thoughts were interrupted bye coulson running
"Here you go" he says handing Simmons the restraints
"Thanks" she says heading back into the hospital room, but this time I follow her, as soon as Skye is restrained the nurses leave me and Simmons alone
"Can I try something?" I ask Simmons
"Go ahead" she says whilst holding her hand out in Skye's direction
"Skye its me I'm here you safe no need to panic you can stop shaking now ok I'm here and I'm not leaving your side in staying right here" I say whilst stroking her head gently and by mine and Simmons surprise she stops shaking, her heart rate slows down and she goes back to normal, unfortunately she still hasn't woken up but at least she stopped shaking, I move to get rid of the restraints but Simmons hand stops me
"You might want to leave those on incase she starts shaking or worse again" she says with sympathy, the last thing I want to do is leave them on but Simmons has a point and I don't want Skye getting hurt even more
"I'll leave you two alone" Simmons says before leaving the room
"Hey I'm here I'm gonna start writing you next letter for today but I'm still here ok"
Once I finished writing the letter I again read it aloud and place it on the pile
"I just wish you were here to witness these things yourself Skye" I say before I start stroking her hair again
"I miss you, and I just wish I could see you happy again, I keep having dreams about well, you know, and you were just so broken and hurt I just wish I can see you happy again even if it was just in my wildest dreams, please just open those beautiful eyes again I miss them, I miss you" I say whilst I burry my head on her hand but to my shock she moves her finger I could feel it, I know it might not mean anything but I know that's Skye communicating with me, I know she can hear me
"I know you can hear me, you might not be able to reply but you don't have to, I know what you'd say so I'm gonna reply, I miss you two" I smile at her and kiss her again gently on her hand
"Goodnight Skye" I say with a smile whilst I rest my head next to her hand, darkness surrounds me and I fall asleep next to Skye.
A/N wow that was emotional sorry for the feels but I'm really sad because this book is nearly finished I've got a few chapters left :( anyway as always can you vote, comment and give feedback thanks
