Nightmares can come true

Chapter 3

I am startled awake from my alarm. I had the same exact dream. I procrastinate by laying in bed for a few more minutes but I have to got to work. I rush to get ready for work and put on my boring uniform. I work at Starbucks. I grab a Apple on my way out the door. I lock the door as I walk out. I make my long journey to work on foot. Actually it Isn't long I'm just lazy. As I'm walking I get the feeling that I'm being watched. I quickly turn around but no one is there. I keep walking but with caution. I finally reach work. I walk in and I'm treated by my boss Jessica. She is probably the nicest boss ever. She's in her 40's. She has short brown hair and green eyes. She's pretty short, about 5'5". "Hey Alice! How are you doing this morning?" she asks. "Great thanks" "Are you sure you look like you didn't get enough sleep?" "I'm fine but thanks for the concern." I walk to the register for my long boring day of work.

After Work

It's about 9:00 pm now. I have to close up tonight. As I'm locking up I hear my phone ring. I take it out of my pocket but it says unknown number. I decide to answer it anyway. "Hello" I say. I can hear Breathing but no answer. "I know you're there!" There's a few more second of breathing when I hear what sounds like a man growl "I'm coming for you Alice" then hang up. It sounded like the person in my dreams. How did they even get my number? I quickly walk home. Freaked out by what has been happening. For once I hope It's just a sick joke someone from high school is pulling on me. I wouldn't be surprised. I wasn't the most liked person in school. As I get home I see my answering machine blinking. I play the message as I put my stuff away. But what I hear makes me drop my stuff. It's the same message I got a few minutes ago. I don't think this is a joke anymore. I got to sleep with a knife under my pillow.
