Today is the day. The day I get kidnapped. Don't get me wrong I'm terrified but as I said before I know I can't do anything to prevent this from happening. As of right now I am sitting at home on my couch reading Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. If I'm going to die I want to read my favorite book just one more time. I know that sounds weird but it means a lot to me. I know I'm being watched. I'm just waiting for him to make his move. I stand up to get a glass of water when I hear a creak on the floor boards. It's not from me. The sound comes from the kitchen. The room I was just about to go in. My hands start shaking and goose bumps travel up my arms. I can feel the hair on the back of my neck standing up. It's time.

I slowly make my way into the kitchen. I peer into the room but I don't see anybody. I open the cabinet and grab a glass. I grab the water from my fridge and poor the water into the glass. I take a sip as I'm walking back to the living room. I sit down and pick up my book and continue reading. That's when I hear it. The voice I could never forget. The voice that haunts my nightmares. The voice that sends chills down my neck.

"Alice," he calls," its time."

A gas fills up the room. I quickly put my shirt up to my nose. Trying not to breath it in.

I dropped my shirt from my nose. All I could feel was pain. I let out a shrill scream. I looked down at my leg to see a knife sticking out of my calf and blood flowing from the wound. The sight of it made me gag. I started feeling light headed. From the gash in my leg and from the gas. My body hit the floor and my eyes began to droop. Before my eyes closed I saw a man in a black hoodie. But then my world went black.
