Pip didn't really seem to care much on the outside. He was frankly very not okay, but it was fine because nobody cared anyways.
He and Damien aren't together right now, and... Pip is fine with that! He can live with himself. He can. Especially when he always felt invisible.
If he's so okay with the feeling of feeling invisible, then why can't he stand it?
At school, Pip was ignored, like usual, but something was off. The looks felt off, it felt like everybody was staring when they weren't. This is so... weird.
Pip felt crazy for feeling that way, so like usual he searched for his friends. They weren't there. Not at breakfast, not even Pocket! That was strange, even for people he didn't care for much, but still hung around with!
So, Pip was on his own.
On his own in a place that felt so unfamiliar, although he had been there for the past couple of years. He walked, just walked around. He didn't really bother going to first hour, so he just walked around with all the other kids who skipped early in the morning.
It was calming.
It was calming for about 45 seconds, because Herbert was also in the hallways. It didn't seem absurd, since Pocket took bathroom breaks after breakfast and lunch.
Pip jogged to catch up to Pocket, stopping in front of him, "Pocket! Sorry I missed you guys at breakfast and all, today. I'll be there tomorrow," Pip apologized, just happy to see somebody he knows. Pocket didn't look necessarily happy.
"Pip," Pocket began, sounding awkward, which was unlike Pocket in general, "We.. We don't wanna be friends with you anymore," Pocket murmured.
"We?" Pip asked, confused at the statement alone.
"None of us," Herbert continued, "Not Gregory or Estella or even Christophe. We don't want anything to do with you anymore," Pocket said simply, almost like it was obvious.
Pip's eyes widened at that, almost shocked, he had literally brought them all together. He made them friends, now they were just not friends anymore? It felt strange.
Pip cleared his throat, "Can you at least give me a reason..?" He asked, looking away from Pocket.
Pocket shrugged, "We just don't like you, and frankly that isn't quite surprising for you. Since nobody really likes you," Pocket said before, moving past Pip and on his way.
Pip knew he wasn't well liked, but at least he had friends, now he has... nobody. Nobody but himself. Pip felt terrible, and without anybody, he was just Pip.
Since there was nobody for him, the bullying started again, and this time? Pip couldn't stand it.
Pip stopped going to school after that.
He stopped going to work, too.
He just sat in his room with the door shut, not crying, not wanting, not doing anything it seemed like.
He barely ate, and he let himself feel sick.
Truly sick.
Damien hadn't come back like he expected, neither did his friends. Only thing he had remembered from his last days was his sister. Telling him to get up and go to work or something. He didn't care. He ignored her actually.
Pip thought about running away and starting a new life, but it didn't seem to end his despair.
Pip felt like he couldn't stand to live anymore.
So after rotting in bed for around two more days and leaving his note taped to his wall, he walked to the bus stop and took a bus just to the limit of South and North Park.
