Chapter 5

Jadlyn POV

I stared wide-eyed. Then Will burst opened the door and he said "NONONONONONONOOOOO!!!!!!"

I stared at him. What is he screaming for? He bent down and cupped my face and asked "Did you really have red eyes? Please tell me it isnt true?!"

"It..is" was all i replied.

"Noooo" he groaned. He rubbed his temples and groaned like he was having a big headache.

"I failed my job. I failed you. I failed the moon goddess." he said, burying his face in his hands. Huh? What is he talking?

"Listen to me closely Jadlyn. You are not who you are now, so be very careful in what you do. You have become a...no its more like the bad side took over so be careful" he said with an extremely serious tone.

I laughed. "What joke are you talking about"

He looked at me about to say something when my Alpha, Henry,came in.

"He is right" he started. "You are now a deadly person because you have been shown the bad side of thw world when you were growing up"

My mouth was in an 'o' shape. "You have not done your full shifting" he continued.

"Because, you wolf died during the shift as your mate was not by your side" he said with a sad look.

My mate. My wolf died because of him. My wolf is gone. Im human now am i not?

"But because you were shown the evil side of the world, a new wolf in you has formed" he said, pausing, thinking if he should continue.

"That wolf is the legendery Midnight wolf" he said. "So apparently you would be going through another shift in a months time. Be prepared" was all he said before he left.

I have a new wolf. Woah. That is some confusing shit ok.

One month passed by in a flash and i have not shifted. The process is so pain, i hope this time would be less painful.

"Lily can we go to the shopping mall now" i said. I have been waiting for her to get ready and hell she took an hour! She turned around wearing a loose pink blouse unbuttoned and a white tank top. Her lips covered with blood red lipstick. Thick mascara on her eyelashes. I rolled my eyes.

"Hurry! I said i was only going to buy a sketchbook not bring you to a classy restaraunt full of hotties!" i huffed.

"Okok i'm coming hun!" she screamed.

I walked down the stairs and stood at the gate examining the pack house. It was like a mansion long and wide with a swimming pool and an indoor sports hall with many other facilities. It is one of the best packs house i have ever seen. Imagine how my previous pack house was like. It could take up an whole island! No joke.

Thinking about my old pack brought me those unhappy memories again. Ughh. I should stop thinking about them. But an adrenaline of hatred coursed through my veins.

"Let's go" Lily said, jumping into her convertable, snapping me out of my thoughts. I nodded and jumped into her car and we sped off.

When we reach the store, i rushed to pick a sketchbook that was thick and had a black cover on. Took a whole set of copic markers and a range of pecils ranging from 1B to 9B.

After i paid for the items. I smiled happily hugging my things. Then Lily pulled me into a shop. So fast i could not even see the name. But inside the shop at the counter there was a name 'Wacom'.

Omg i immediately saw a wacom tablet and screamed with joy and said "This is cintiq 24 hd omg there is the stylus and -"

"Yeah so i'm going to buy it for you, i could tell when i saw you admiring it through the web"

"Oh you spot check me" i said, raising a brow.

She just turned away and told the shop assistant she was going to buy the tablet. What's with her. Upset due to a break up or what. She usually gets over a break up in an hour. i sighed and asked her "Hey what's wrong"

No reply. I sensed something wrong so i won't press her until we go back to the pack house.

The ride back was an akward silence. I wanted to say a 'thank you' but the akward atmosphere is so strong it makes me nervous.

When we reach back the pack house. I asked her in a stern tone"Now you better tell me what is wrong".

She started sobbing."Today is you shift! I don't know if you can make it through!!!!!!!!!"

"What makes you think so?"

"Cos'" she said pausing. "cos'- I CAN'T SAY IT! I CAN'T!!" she said sobbing uncontrollably.

"What is wrong!!!!!!!!!!!" i almost screamed.

She look up at me into the eyes and said " Your mate, he- his marked 'mate' has just given birth to his pup"

I stared at her in disbelief. reality shook me hard. My world shattering again. He had pups with another woman. A SLUT. But not with his mate.

Then a laughter sounded through the house. It was from me. I wiped the tears of my eyes and a smirked painted across my face. "Who cares about him?"

"Remember Derek Hensworth is not my mate. Never will he be" i spoke with so much venom, Lily cringed.

I walked off into the forest and squatted in front of th lake. When will it be my shifting?

I woke up and the sky was a golden hue. My ribs and bone started cracking. My skin was on fire and a rush of pain shot through my chest. After i shifted, i was surprised to find myself in human form. But my hair was black, eyes a bright blue. I tried shifting into wolf form and there stood in the water reflection was a white wolf but with red eyes. Woah my wolf fur and eye colour is far away from my hair n eye colour. And why did my hair and eye colour change?

When i went back into the pack house, i sprinted to my room before anyone noticed me. In a second i was in my room. Did my speed increase? Weird.

I went to the mirror and checked myself out, there stood the girl i barely knew. Fair skin with not-too-big, not-too-small bust and curves in all the right places! I touched my face? Is this really me!

Lily walked in and saw me. He dropped the clothes she was holding and stared at me.

"Is that you? Is that the jade i knew?"

I nodded my head. She ran over and gave me a bear hug.

"By the way when you were out, the alpha said he would be giving his position to you"

"Why?"

"Beacuase for the past 2 years you gave alot of contributions to battle and ideas and leadership skills, now that you are also more powerful, he should step down to beta and give you the Alpha position"

"Ready?" Lily asked.

"Huh?"

"It is time for you to get ready for the ceremony, Alpha Jadlyn" Lily replied with formality in her voice.

Me? Alpha?
