Hermione left the dungeons aggravated. When will Snape learn to just leave them alone? He's always on their backs and can't let them do anything without taking points or giving detention. She realized she was late for transfiguration. She picked up the pace and ran down to mcgonagall's room. "Professor, I'm so sorry I-" Her voice trailed off. Nobody was in the room? Where were they?
Hermione didn't know what to do or where to go. She looked around trying to find any sign of where they've gone. She was unsuccessful and left. She walked down the 3rd floor corridor just to walk. She didn't know what to do. She walked to the great hall.
She found a note on the door:
"Hogsmeade trip today! No transfiguration classes!" She stared at the note. How could she be so stupid? She had forgotten! She went back to the dormitory. She dropped off her books and grabbed her jacket. She then proceeded to Hogsmeade. She just had to run into Lucius.
"Hello, Mr Malfoy." She said.
"As Mrs Granger, hello. Looking for Draco?" He sneered.
"No, sir. Just going to Hogsmeade." She said. She turned to walk around him. He stepped in front of her.
"I'm watching you, Mudblood." He snapped. She was angry now. She turned on her heel and walked to Hogsmeade.
As she entered the village she saw Professor Mcgonagall.
"Mrs Granger where were you?" She said
"Sorry professor, I forgot about the trip today. I went to the classroom first." Hermione explained.
"That's quite alright Mrs. Granger. I believe Mr Potter and Mr Weasley are in the Three Broomsticks." She smiled.
"Thank you professor!" She ran off.
She stopped in front off the Three Broomsticks. It looked a bit different. She brushed it off and walked in. She saw Harry and Ron sitting in a corner both. She walked over and sat down.
"Blimey, Hermione! We've been worried about you." Ron said.
"Are you okay? We though Lucius got you or some death eater did." Harry stated
"We'll I ran into Mr Malfoy. He asked me if I was looking for Draco then called me a... Mudblood, and walked off." She finished. It didn't matter how many times she got called that, it still affected her.
"He's just as foul as Draco, Maybe worse." Ron sneered.
Hermione knew Draco was better. These two just wont believe it.
"Draco is not foul! He's a better person..." She trailed off. Ron and Harry looked taken aback.
"Are you okay Hermione?" Harry said.
"I'm fine!" She got up to leave.
"Hermione wait!" Harry called.
She ignored him. She walked out and went to walk around Hogsmeade. She ran into someone.
"I'm so sorry!" She said without looking to see who it was.
"It's okay." She recognized that voice. She looked up and smiled.
"I'm sorry Draco..." She said and blushed.
"It's okay Hermione." He said and smiled.
"What are you doing walking around alone?" He asked.
"Just exploring?" She replied, not knowing what to say.
"We'll I was about to back to the school. Care to join?" He asked.
"Sure Draco." She smiled and they walked.
They walked arm-in-arm. She took in the beautiful surroundings. She had butterflies in her stomach. Draco Malfoy was walking with her! She felt relief and happiness.
