Carter's POV*

The sun peeked through my cabin windows and plastered itself onto my face. I buried my face back into my pillow, trying to savor the last couple of minutes of rest I could have.

"Good morning beautiful." Niall said next to me.

I rolled over into his chest and smiled up at him. His hair was a mess and his tired eyes gazed down at me. He was a god.

"Sleep well?" I asked him with a yawn.

"How could I not with you by my side." He smirked at me causing me to blush and try to hide my embarrassment.

No, we didn't do anything last night. Just having him by my side keeping my anxiety attack at bay really helped me out and I'm grateful he was there for me.

I sat up and went to step out of the bed when his strong arms snaked themselves around my waist, pulling me back into his chest causing me to giggle.

"Niall I'm hungry come on." I whined as he planted soft kisses on my neck leading up to my jawline.

"But I want you to lay with me." He whined back, mimicking the sound of a five year old who didn't get their way. I let out a small giggle and rolled myself on top of his chest so I had the control.

"Please." I begged pouting my lip like a puppy. He cracked another one of his famous crooked toothed smiles and sat up.

"Fine lets go eat." He shifted out of bed and went to stand up but I grabbed a fist full of his t-shirt and pulled him close to me.

"Good morning." I cheekily smiled then kissed him on the cheek and stood up, slipping on my flip flops and tying my knotted hair up into a messy bun.

I headed towards the screen door to make my way across camp to the mess hall to eat. Niall walked behind my and placed a hand on my lower back, guiding me outside into the bright sun.

"Thank god it's not thundering anymore." I breathed out in relief while we hungrily walked across the damp dirt.

We arrived at the mess hall where Zayn and Gabbie were already at a table eating breakfast. Gabbie excitedly waved us over to her and I gave her the 'one second' motion so we could gather our food.

Niall and Zayn's manager hired a chef to come in and prepare meals for us so we didn't have to do it ourselves. Sure it was extravagant but it tasted good.

Niall and I grabbed our plates and silverware and approached the bounty of food in front of us.

"What are you eating, love?" Niall asked me causing my heart to skip a beat at the word love. It was simple but sweet causing me to smile to myself.

"Probably just a bagel and some kind of fruit. You?" I responded, grabbing my bagel and buttering it.

"Cereal and a banana." Niall replied as he poured Lucky Charms into a bowl and added the milk.

"Lucky Charms, how ironic." I winked at him and he laughed.

"Very funny. They just so happen to be my favorite cereal." Niall replied sticking his tongue out at me like a child.

"Must be an Irish thing." I smirked causing him to do the same.

It was the joking part of Niall that I liked the most. He's actually a very sweet person when he wants to be, not this cocky bastard the tabloids have him made out to be.

We finished grabbing our food and walked over to the table, taking a seat across from Zayn and Gabbie.

Gabbie was feeding Zayn grapes causing Niall to fake a gagging noise and me to hit him in the arm so he would stop making fun of them.

"Ouch Carter! Why'd you do that?" Niall said with a laugh as he rubbed the spot on his bicep where I hit him.

"Oh no, did I hurt your little arm?" I said in a baby voice while Niall pouted like a child.

"Here I'll kiss it better." I said as I planted a kiss on his bicep causing him to smile.

"Much better!" Niall smiled then began to eat his food. I did the same and looked up to see Gabbie making faces at me and basically motioning to say 'are you two a thing'. I waved her off letting her know I would tell her later.

"I forgot a spoon. I'll be back." Niall stated then got up from the table and went to grab his utensil.

"What was that? Are you two a thing? He slept in your bed last night too. What happened! Tell me!" Gabbie spit out all at once while Zayn chuckled beside her.

"I don't know, maybe. Nothing happened last night. We have a lot in common and he's actually a pretty sweet guy. I don't know, I think I like him." I replied taking a bite out of my bagel. Gabbie quickly swallowed her mouth full of food before she was cut off by Zayn who spoke.

"Carter you need to be careful. If he finds out what your intentions were coming here, he will be devastated again. He's improved a lot since he's been here I just don't want him to go back to that place. You're playing a very dangerous game here." Zayn lectured me like a father would.

"I'm being careful. I truely do like him and my intentions are different now. He's fixed so what do I do now? He will never found out about it." I replied while Zayn shrugged his shoulders.

"Who find out about what?" Niall asked from behind me causing me to choke on my bagel out of shock.

I began in a coughing fit, trying to hack up the piece of food lodged in my throat. This is so embarrassing. I can see the headlines already. Girl dead: choked on bagel.

Niall began hitting me on the back until finally the bagel came flying out of my mouth allowing me to breath regularly again.

I gasped for air and Niall held me up helping me regain my breathing pattern.

"Here drink this." Zayn passed me his glass of water which I downed in seconds and could finally breath again.

"You alright, love?" Niall asked rubbing my back. I nodded my head and smiled.

"I'm fine." I replied quickly. Hopefully Niall forgot anything he heard before, if he heard anything we were talking about.

Does he know why I came here?

alright so there's an update

Ciall is so cute OMG

a lot of things are going to be happening in the next couple of chapters because they are nearing the end of July and beginning of August which means summer will be ending soon (will their love end too??)
