You thanked the owner for the puppy once more believe walking out the door in front of Niall. You made your way across the lawn to Niall's Range Rover. He opened your door for you, and you slid into the seat with your new puppy still held to your chest with your shiny engagement ring right in front of you. You buckled up as Niall got in the car and you drove back to Niall's home, all the while trying to decide on a name for your puppy.
You got out of the car, with the puppy still asleep, and made your way into the house to get ready for lunch with Eoghan and Niall at Wagamama's as celebration of Niall getting his braces off, but not before having Niall snap a picture of you holding your sleeping pup. You decided to tweet 'welcome our newest family member! @Niall_Official( who has yet to be named)' along with the following picture.
You then went and sat the puppy in his bed Niall had gotten and made a small puppy play yard for him in a section of the living room. You went and changed into a turquoise flannel and kept on the jeans you'd had on but decided to change into your white Converse shoes that you loved so much. Reapplied a bit of perfume and makeup and made a quick adjustment to your fishtail braid that had begun falling out a bit. You got back downstairs a bit before Niall so you decided to go over and play with the puppy a bit while you waited on him.
You didn't hear Niall come into the living room until you heard him laughing behind you. 'what?' you said. 'nothing, you two are just too cute together. that's all. Can't believe you're both mine' he told you before coming over to pet the puppy and help you off the floor. 'we need to name him' you told him. ' sure do' he said just matter of factly. 'how about we name him Cason?' you say. 'Cason, I like that.' he said back, pulling out his phone and tweeting 'no worries ya lot, new puppy is officially named Cason! y/t/n came up with it!' You went over to your puppy and called out 'Cason' and he perked his head up from his doggie bed. 'I believe he likes it' Niall said walking up behind you and placing his hands on your waist.
'we better get going or we're going to be late for lunch with Eoghan and who knows what rumor he would spread about why we missed'. you turned and nodded in agreement, grabbing your purse before walking out the door. You climbed into the Range Rover before remembering the ring on your left hand sitting between your pinky and middle finger. 'hey Ni, do you mind if I take the ring off while we're out today I don't exactly want Eoghan or the fans knowing about our engagement before our parents?' you asked him. 'sure, no problem. but actually I have something I need to tell you' he said, making you wonder what was up. 'sure, shoot' you said.
'well you know how I showed and surprised you in Oklahoma a bit back?' you nodded your head before he continued. 'well as much as it was about seeing and surprising you. I got there early that day to ask your dad for your hand in marriage, just like you told me to do if I ever decided you were the only girl for all my life.'. You couldn't believe it. You'd said that to Niall quite a while back and in somewhat of a joking manner,but he'd actually done it.
'wait. my family knows already?' you asked. 'well not that I finally proposed but they knew it would be coming sometime, so kind of I suppose.' he answered. 'well does your family know as well?' you questioned. 'no, but Greg just called me earlier today to let me know that they are having Denise induced in a few days, so we're going to fly out tomorrow to Mullingar so my parents can have double good news but Greg and Denise both know but are keeping it a secret for us so that we can be the ones to tell Bobby and Maura.' 'sounds great! I'm so excited!' you said in response.
You arrived at Wagamama's about 20 minutes later and slipped your engagement ring off, carefully placing it in a zippered pocket in your purse, before getting out of the car. You watched as Niall and Eoghan devoured every bit of food the waiter placed in front of them. You laughed as Eoghan told stories and Niall rejoiced in not having to worry about getting food stuck in his braces any longer. You left Wagamama's about an hour later after confirming with Eoghan the day you were coming to see him, along with Niall, on The Voice.
