18. Brother time

Y/n's pov

We made it to the infirmary where Enki was being given some medication by the ghost doctors.

Mini Gruff immediately wiggled out of my arms and ran to Enki.

"Enki are you okay?" Kian asked.

"Yeah I'm okay I think." Enki answered.

"Crowley needs to learn to let people process." Ortho said.

"Is it okay for my brother and I to talk alone?" Enki asked.

Both of them nodded and left the infirmary.

I sat down on the infirmary bed and put mini Gruff on it too. He immediately fell asleep on Enki's lap.

"Am I broken?" Enki asked.

"No, you're not. You couldn't process your emotions or tell anyone that our parents were dead because we were both afraid of being separated in foster care. But now you can and you have too. You were just a kid. None of it was your fault." I said.

"So I should go to therapy?" Enki asked.

"We both should go. It's not healthy keeping your real emotions in."

"They gave me some sleep medicine to take." Enki said.

"Is it because of the nightmare?" I asked.

"I'm scared to sleep because of it." Enki said. "What if the next one is worse?"

"If it is then I'll be there to chase them all away."

"You can't chase nightmares away." Enki said with a smile.

"Remember when we watched the live action of "Alice in Wonderland"?" I asked.

"Yeah, I do, why does that have anything to do with my nightmare?" Enki asked.

"She and her father think of six impossible things before breakfast every day, remember?" I asked.

"I do remember." Enki said.

"So let's think of six impossible things and see if they are possible in this world." I said.

"Okay, first we can never visit our parents graves ever again." Enki said.

"We make memorial shrines with their old stuff and use that until we can get back to our world." I said.

"That seems reasonable. Second we will be in grave danger if we follow the plot." Enki said.

"Then we try our best to miss all the danger because you know when they happen." I said.

"Third you have magic which could mean that I have magic too."

"It's only a bit of magic, very faint, so I don't think we have to worry about anything bad happening." I said.

"Fourth we are considered aliens here and in our world." Enki said.

"Being considered an alien makes us more interesting." I said.

"Fifth we could possiblynever get back to our world." Enki said.

"I asked Crowley to find a way to send us home." I said.

"You do know that in the game it takes him seven books to finally find a way, right?" Enki asked.

"No I did not." I said.

"That makes things easier. Sixth we could lose each other." Enki said.

"I'll make sure that will never happen for as long as we both live." I said.
