Amaira ki Anaya!
▪︎Author's Pov▪︎

The night was calm and still. Amaira was in her ninth month now — their little princess could arrive any moment — so the Romano ladies had gathered at the mansion:

Sofia Romano — wife of Alessandro Romano
Carry Romano — wife of Carlos Romano
Emily Romano — wife of Matteo Romano
Anne Angelos — now a Romano, wife of Xander Romano

Even the still bachelors of the family, Xavier and Ethan, were here, happily accompanying their sisters-in-law — which only made their brothers grumble with jealousy as the two hovered around both Amaira and their wives.

Since it was Amaira's final month, Ashvik had completely stopped going to the office. He handled only urgent work from home. Everything else was managed by Sumit, with the help of his two-year-old wife Divya, now the company's HR.

Vivek, on the other hand, was still single — patiently waiting to find his better half.

And now... came the first borns of Ashvik and Amaira.
The minions of Ashvik.
The mukchins of Amaira.

Sweet, naïve babies who were all mumma's boys for Amaira — yet sworn enemies and dangerous villains for their poor father.

It was 2:00 am. The sky outside the mansion was pitch black. The world slept peacefully — and so did Ashvik and Amaira, wrapped in each other's arms, hands protectively resting on Amaira's baby bump.

But the twins, who had inherited all of Amaira's over-energetic childhood genes (the kind that could invent plans even scientists hadn't dreamed of), were wide awake... standing just outside their parents' room.

They looked at each other with a mischievous grin. Siddhart clutched a plate full of banana peels. Siddhesh held a bottle of oil and a bowl filled with flour.

"Papa has to pay for what he did." Siddhart said darkly.

"Yes, Sid. He will regret it too." Siddhesh nodded firmly.

"Let's get it done, Sid." Siddhart whispered, and his brother agreed.

Tonight, they had ruined their own sleep just to teach their father a lesson — for daring to tattle to their mumma about their failed class test. They had begged him to keep quiet, but he only folded his arms, smirked, and proudly informed his wife... who not only scolded them but also made a new rule: 2 hours of study every day.

So obviously, revenge was the only option.

They tip-toed inside, creeping towards Ashvik's side of the bed. Silently, Siddhart placed the banana peels near his father's slippers. Siddhesh sprinkled the flour on the exact spot where their father's face would land after slipping — perfect calculation.

"Aur yeh?" Siddhesh whispered.

(And this one?)

"Rehne de... apne hi papa hai." Siddhart sighed, looking at his sleeping father with sudden pity.

(Leave it... he's my own father.)

They did want revenge — but the oil plan might actually break a bone or two. And they weren't ready to go that far. At least... not yet.

"Let's go." Siddhesh mumbled.

Siddhart nodded — but then their eyes fell on their mother's peaceful, glowing face. Their expressions instantly softened. They tip-toed to the other side of the bed and placed gentle kisses on Amaira's forehead... then on her round baby bump — a kiss for their soon-to-arrive sibling.
