❝ 05 , that guy's a friendly ? ❞

"So you're telling me that I'm just gonna stand here while you do the heavy-lifting?" Elsie asked as she looked at Natasha and then back to Steve. Elsie didn't exactly want to go into a fight but on principle, being left behind annoyed her. She was perfectly capable in a fight. In fact, she was confident now that she was very capable and she could probably shoot Loki in the head before Steve even got a swing in.

But she was being left behind?

She didn't know why it angered her so much and why she had such belief in herself but she knew. She knew that she could do this.

"It isn't safe," Steve said simply. Elsie scoffed and crossed her arms over her chest. Her head tilted to the side slightly as she looked at him, miffed.

"Fury put me on this team just like the rest of you so I'm coming with you," Elsie stated. Steve stared at her and then looked over her shoulder to Natasha and the other pilot. Neither were willing to argue with Elsie and it had been left to Steve to do it entirely on his own, "Either way this will prove Fury right or it'll prove him wrong and you'll never have to see me again."

"Because you'll be dead," Steve responded, his words sharp.

"Then protect me," Elsie snapped back. Natasha let out a ragged sigh from her seat and she glanced back.

"Guys you have one minute to make a decision," She warned. Steve looked at Elsie and Elsie grabbed her guns, slipping them into the holster.

"Stay behind me," Steve relented. Elsie seemed pleased with the order even though it was clear he didn't trust her. He had no reason to. Hell, she didn't trust what was going to happen but she had to at least try. If she was meant to be an international assassin, she could be in a fight even if it was with a god. And if she gets injured or worse comes to worst dies, well, that thought didn't bother her all that much.

The two moved out of the quinjet - as Natasha had called it - and were quickly moving across the streets. They had dropped out of the jet a few blocks over from where Loki was and they were taking it quick. It wasn't long until they had come into the open square where Loki was lauding over at least 100 people.

Something in her gut twisted and she felt a deep sense of disdain. Her lips twisted into a sneer and Steve told her to stay back unless he needed backup.

Elsie just nodded and watched as Steve jumped into the fight. His shield deflected a blast from Loki's scepter right before it hit the old man who had stood up to him. It rebounded back into Loki's face causing the god to fall flat on his back. The people around him gasped as Captain Rogers - Captain America - stood tall.

"You know, the last time I was in Germany and saw a man standing above everybody else, we ended up disagreeing," Steve said as he approached Loki who had clambered to his feet. Elsie watched as the people began to stand up and she quietly began to usher them away. Moving small sections of people away without causing a commotion that would draw attention to herself.
