PART TWO- HOW WE WORK

CHAPTER ONE- The Listener, The Watcher and The Scribe

The Fangirl Base is very often easily confused by Fandom Bases. Fandom Bases are secret under ground bases for Fangirls- we shall expand more on this in later chapters. The Fangirl Base however is completely different.

The Fangirl Base lives at the very centre of our minds, inside our body.

Normal girls and boys have these things called brains. You may have heard of them, slimy, squishy, filled with things like Sensory Neurons and Motor Neurons (we'll touch on these later if we get any time).

Now, Fangirls (and Fanboys) have Fangirl Bases- very much like the brain.

The Fangirl Base controls Fangirls just like the brain controls normal human beings.

For a full-definition map of the Fangirl Base, please look into the Official Fangirl Encyclopaedia (page 394), but here's the basic structure. So first, there's the main room, or the HQ as we call it. Then there are all these smaller rooms called Sectors. There's a sector for Percy Jackson, a sector for Harry Potter and even a sector for Minecraft if you're really obsessed with it. Before we go any further, let's talk about the HQ.

The HQ is the home to three very important mind people.

The first of these three people:

The Listener

The Listener does just that. She, (-or he, depending on the gender of the fan itself) will listen. The Listener hears every thing. The 'Ears' are his/her outside source to get information from the outside world. You know those Extendable Ears Fred and George invented? Yeah? The Listener works a little like that.

(Also, excuse me for a while as I cry in that corner thinking about Fred.)

So the Listener listens and makes notes. She/He is the one that identifies references from normal sentences.

Then there's...

The Watcher

The Watcher is definitely not a stalker, as her name implies (although she does stalk fictional characters in the mindnet - the equivalence to the internet inside your mind - though only occasionally!).

The Watcher carries a watch - I know, she's so not original! (By the way, the Watcher is always a girl just because girls are more observant and less clueless than boys)

Back to the Watcher- The Watcher carries a watch. The thing is, this watch is no ordinary watch. It's even better than the watch/shield Tyson made for Percy. This watch (Version 2.0) allows the Watcher to watch over everything in the Fangirl Base and the outside world. One click of a button and Voila, she has Sector Harry Potter watched over 24/7. Another click and Sector Hunger Games is secured of thieves and robbers. One more click and she sees your mum cooking your breakfast. Oh yes, looks like it's gonna be bacon!

Last but not least, there's...

The Scribe

The Scribe writes down messages and sends them all over your body. These messages tell you how to respond to things.

The Watcher and the Listener just watches and listens. They can't do anything if something happens. They just sit around and watch or listen. Yeah, lazy right? But hey, now we know why we're so lazy.

The Scribe does the actually work. You know how when you have get into groups for a school project, one person ends up doing all the work while the rest all just slacks off? Yeah, it's like that.

So if you're somehow being chased down by a policeman for whatever reason, the Scribe sends the message to your feet minions to start running. Well talk about the feet minions later since they don't exist in the Fangirl Base.
