Later that night was dad's important dinner. Dana agreed to stay with me only if I agreed to go with her to the fight on friday which I was still debating but she thought I was actually going to go. She eventually told me she lied about Noah wanting me to come to the fight. Which I already knew she was lying because her and Noah didn't say one word to each other when she arrived earlier. She only talked to his friend who I now knew was named Greg. But now I owed Dana, because I forced her to stay with me tonight for this stupid dinner.

"Girls! come down!" My mom yelled from the bottom of the stairs. Dana and I dressed ourselves  in casual but semi dressy clothes. I decided on light blue skinny jeans and a golden glittery top that tied around my neck, it was shaped like a napkin. It was funny describing it but it was very cute on my slim body. I didn't bother doing my hair, I just let it lay in its wavy habitat down my back. Dana wore black jeans, and a matching black bodysuit underneath. We both just applied mascara as our makeup and that was about it. Before going downstairs, We both made sure we looked good. After smiling at each and exchanging compliments, we made our way downstairs.

"Oh, how beautiful." My mom smiled, and snapped a picture of us with her kodak camera. She wouldn't dare use her iPhone or any new electronic cameras like I begged her to. She loved being old school and it was embarrassing. "Mom." I complained.
"Sorry, you girls just look dazzling." She smiled. My mom was beautiful. She was tall and had long black hair just like me. We had matching golden brown eyes and she had a perfect body in my opinion because her and my dad stayed so fit. I aspired to look like her when I was her age.

My dad was busy telling the cooks where to put the food on our dinning table. He was too focused on everything to be perfect. He was wearing a black suit and I couldn't help but to think what kind of guy this old boss of his was to have my dad running around so crazily,  making sure things were so perfect for this guy and his family. "They're here!" I heard my dad suddenly announce. We all looked towards the front door as my dad opened it and this black car was pulling into our driveway.

"Come here for a second girls." My mom told us and led us into the kitchen. A door separated the kitchen and the dinning room so we had privacy to talk. I admired how she was dressed, in a silver sun dress with heels. "Your dads old boss is bringing his family. Your dad looks up to the guy and respects him so much because he introduced your dad into the business world many years ago. They are here to discuss buisness and maybe in the future merging companies. They also have a son so make sure you talk with him as well. He will be taking over his fathers business In a few years just like we want you to run ours Nina." My mom told me with raised eyebrows. "Maybe he can persuade you to do this." She winked. "So make him feel at home as well when he's here."

"Ughhhh." I groaned everytime my mom or dad mentioned that. They wanted me to take over their buisness so bad when they retired but I just didn't want to. I honestly didn't want a job like that. I wanted something fun, something that I would enjoy and something that wouldn't cause me to be too busy for my family like my parents were too busy for me.

My mom took a peek through the kitchen door and motioned with her arm for us to follow her.
"Let's go, I think they're ready." I glanced at Dana, shaking my head because of how extra this night was guaranteed to be and she just laughed at me, and held my hand. She and I were so use to our families forcing us to be involved with nonsense things like this, so we often had to lean on each other during those times and deal with it. It wasn't always so bad though when we had each other for support. Walking out of the kitchen I saw our dinning room was completely set now, the plates, the food, silverware, it was like thanksgiving but in the spring time. When all eyes fell on Dana and I, my mother introduced us, with a wave of her hand.
