Zoe’s POV
I sat my suitcase on the bed and took a look around my room, smiling to myself. This might actually be fun. The floors of my room were light wood and on it was a plush white rug. I took off my sneakers and stepped onto it, wiggling my toes. My smile grew wider. So soft. I looked up and around at the walls, a nice baby blue color. On it were small wall hangings of anchors and lifesavers, pictures of beaches and big ships, sea life; things of the sort. I laughed a little, a bit cheesy for my taste, but it fit with the whole cruise theme.
I remembered that the girls messed with my suitcase and froze, turning back to look at it. I took a deep breath before opening the zipper and swinging the top open—wincing when I saw bright colors. No. Please, no. My shoulders sagged as stared at the contents of the case. Multiple tank tops and different flowery blouses, along with my old pairs of jean shorts were haphazardly smashed in it. I sifted through it and found out that that is all I have. I sighed and sat on the soft rug.
Whyyy? I heard a knock on the door and begrudgingly get up, my shoulders sagged. I opened the door and rolled my eyes when Molly appeared; her beautiful red hair wrapped up into a bun with a couple curls framing her face and in a new outfit, consisting of a long green dress and a jean vest, gold gladiator sandals to match.
“Why are you so grumpy?” She pouted. I gave her a ‘oh, come on.’ look.
“You know why.” I said shortly, crossing my arms in front of my chest. She sighed and started swaying a bit as Natalie appeared next to her,
“Well… now you’re really going to be upset.” I took a couple steps back. Oh, no. What are they doing?
“What do you think you’re doing?” I asked, holding my hands out in front of me in defense.
“Wellllllll…” Rachel stringed out, walking in after Molly and Natalie, “You can’t go on wearing those sweats…”
“Why not?” I whined, sick of all of these games. “They’re fine! I’m comfy!” I added. Casey appeared behind them, her face in a big smile,
“But you’ll look adorable in your old clothes! They really suited you!” She said happily, jumping in front of them and taking my hands in hers, “Please? Just until we get back home, then you can go back to your old ways?” I took a deep breath and stared at the girls, they aren’t going to stop are they? I stamped my foot like a 5 year old,
“Fineeee.” I whimpered, giving Casey a pouty face; though she, happy as ever, jumped up and down a little,
“Yesss!” She cheered, spinning around and putting her hands on her hips, “See? I told you we wouldn’t have to rip her clothes off of her!”
“Rip my clothes off of me?” I questioned leaning over so I could see the rest of my friends faces past Casey. Molly gave me a little smile,
“What else could we do if you didn’t comply?” She shrugged.
“And you are pretty stubborn..” Rachel added in with a crooked grin.
“And we couldn’t let you go on looking like an old hag.” Natalie finished, giving us a small wave as she made her way back out of the room, “See ya!” My jaw dropped. Really? Was that really necessary?
“Old hag?!” I said in disbelief.
“Ah, don’t listen to her.” Molly said with a smile, “You looked fine in the sweats—”
“You just look sexy with your old clothes.” Rachel finished with a wink. Casey walked over to her and they linked arms before exiting, leaving me with Molly.
