"Yeah... sure. May I ask why you left your number?" The man gave a chuckle over the line, a soft wrustling interupting us for a moment.
"I thought you would like to know that you can go home in a month? Is that not so?" My heart thundered in my chest as I jumped from my bed, trying to expel all pent up energy.
"I really can?! Thank you, thank you so much sir! Oh, I would kiss you if I could! Thank you!"
"Izaya, save that for your boyfriend. Goodbye." The line went dead, but all I could do was scream in joy.
"I can go home... I can go home! I can see Shizuo and Mioku and Celty and Shinra and even Namie! I can go home!" I jumped onto my bed and rolled back and forth, the blankets twisting around me before I fell on the floor. "I can eat Fatty Tuna and observe my humans and mess with gangs!" I slipped on my shoes and jacket, wrapping my scarf tightly around my neck. I needed to get rid of all this energy, or I would never sleep again!~
The walk seemed to do nothing so far, so I progressed to a run, dashing past any late nighters. Most were homeless or bar hopping, some even being drug dealers or prostitutes.
"Run little boy run!" A man slurred, his friends laughing. I ignored them and made it to the road that led to time square. Maybe all the lights, like the ones in Ikebukuro, would calm me? They always did have a nostalgic aura to them...
