Harry and Sadie Potter an the Chamber of Secrets

Chapter 15

So here we are, in the middle of the night, with a slobbery dog, following spiders into the dark forest.

I have to keep looking down to avoid stepping on the spiders.
"Ron if you don't man up I'm gonna stick an arrow in you!"

Ron has been whimpering about the spiders ever since we left 15 minutes ago! And it is very annoying!

"Well excuse me Miss Fearless, not everyone is as brave as you!"
He fired back. I heard a crunch and a whimper and I knew he stepped on a spider.

"You're in Gryffindor, where the brave dwell at heart."
"Touché..."

I smirked and continued to follow the spiders.
Nate walked next to me with a disgusted look on his face, he didn't seem to like spiders either.

"So what are you afraid of Sadie?"
I stopped in my tracks letting the other boys pass us.
I never really thought about what scares me the most.

I mean I never loved snakes or spiders. I grew up in a cupboard so us wasn't scared of the dark. Before I came here I was scared of ghosts but now I love them!

"I-I never really thought about it... So I dont know."

He smiled at me with his perfect smile
"That's good, it means you don't worry about fear, you put your mind to the matter at hand."
I smiled and kept walking.

After ten more minutes of walking we finally reached a dark hole, the entrance was covered with roots from the nearby trees.

"Let's do this."

Harry walked in front because he had the lantern. I loaded the cross bow and held it to my chest ready to shoot.
I followed Harry with Nate and Ron at my heels.

The tunnel was short and when we surfaced we were in a dark hollow.
We were facing a wall that reminded me of a coliseum, and I could see spiders heads popping out of the holes.

A giant pit was in front of us, and behind, all forest. 
The ground rumbled beneath us as we heard loud pounding noises.

From the pit emerged a gigantic... No Hagrid's gigantic... Um enormous? Yeah that works!

An Enormous spider with pure black eyes and long, hairy legs.
"Hagrid is that you?"

When he spoke a chill went down my spine. His voice was old, icy and dark.
"No, we're friends of Hagrid! You're Aragog aren't you?" Harry said stepping up

"Yes. Hagrid has never sent men into my hollow before."

"We just need to ask you a few questions then we'll be out of your... Um... Hair." Literally his entire body had hair on it.

Ron poked my arm but I shooed him off. "Not now Ron."
"Did Hagrid open the chamber of secrets fifty years ago?" Harry asked

"No he did not."
"Then your not the Monster?"
"No"

"But then what's hidden in the chamber?" I spoke up.
"It is an ancient creature we spiders fear above all things. We do not speak its name." Answered Aragog.

"Uh Sadie..." Nate said now poking me along with the whimpering Ron.
"What?!" I shouted

They pointed up and I froze. Thousands of spiders were climbing down from the trees and were surrounding us. "Harry it's time to go, thank you for answering us but it's late we should go."

I grabbed Harry's arm and tugged him back to the hole.
"Go? Go? I think not? My sons and daughters do not harm Hagrid on my command but I cannot deny them fresh meat when it comes to them so willingly."

"Goodbye friends of Hagrid."
The spiders closed in on us, I loaded the bow which was really heavy and hurting my arm. "Ok screw this!"

I swung the bow around my shoulder
And pulled out my pen. I clicked it and the bow appeared in my hand and the arrows on my back. The boys looked at it in awe and I loaded the bow and shot the first spider coming at us.

"Remind me to never get on your bad side!"  I chuckled a little. The arrow vanished from the spiders body and it reappeared in the quiver.

"Know any spells guys!"
"One but it's not powerful enough for all of them!" Harry cried

All of a sudden a loud engine sound came from behind us. We turned and saw a battered beat up blue car.
The car zoomed toward us and stopped and swung it's door open.

"What in Hufflepuffs name did you do to that car!" I screamed over the noise of the spiders and the loud engine.

"The forest must have turned it wild!" Nate said kicking a spider in the side.
"Who cares get in!" Ron dived into the drivers seat and slammed the door.

I dived in the back with Nate and Fang while shooting another spider.
A spider burst through the drivers window and grabbed Ron around the neck.

"Aronia Exumai!" Harry said and The spider went flying back. "Well, didn't see that coming." I said out of breath.

The car pulled out of the clearing and sped through the forest.
The spiders were still following us. Up ahead we saw they had surrounded us, "Ron get us in the air!" I screamed over the engine noise.

The boys in front pulled on the lever but it was jammed. "Guys! Hurry up otherwise they'll be cleaning us out of their teeth!"

Wait spiders have teeth right? I don't know. Never learned about them.

Finally they pushed the lever back and just in time too. The car flew to the sky above the tree tops.
The spiders had retreated, and we were alive.

"Ron I'm telling you now, you are never getting your drivers license!" I said as we landed roughly by Hagrid's hut.

"Everyone alive?" Nate asked jumping out of the car.
"I think so."

"I swear..." Ron began "If Hagrid ever gets out of Azkaban I'll kill 'em!"
The car roared to life once again and backed back into the forest disappearing into the darkness.

"So what did we learn exactly from that trip?" Nate stepped forward sitting on the doorsteps next to Harry.
"Well we learned one thing." Harry said petting Fang.

"Hagrid never opened the Chamber."

So what y'all think? I wasn't sure about that spider thing but I think they have teeth!

So summers winding down to an end and we all know what that means... School starts... DUH DUH DUH!!!!

Yeah nothing new with me.
