'I just never knew how to tell you this.'
'You seem so happy with Nya.'
'I know you like her more than me.'
'I love you Jay.'
Those were the words that will forever stay hidden in your head. Your heart was talking but your mouth wasn't complying the mind was the only one that was listening. You were the ninja for f/e and an amazing tinkerer. You and Jay have been great friends. Friends. That one word dug deep into you. Whenever he called you that there was a longing in your heart that wished you could be something more. You wanted to tell him so bad. You always thought that it wasn't the right time. Looking back at your moments with him, you realized that you had many chances...chances that you took for granted. You were helping Jay with a robot he wanted to finish. Everyone else was somewhere in the far corners of Ninjago doing their own little missions.
"Y/N, are you okay? You haven't been talking as much today."says Jay.
"Just a little tired that's all."you answer as silence filled the room once more.
'No. There is something wrong.'
You dropped the screwdriver you were holding making you flinch at the loud sound that echoed through the room.
"Here."
Jay picks it up and hands it to you. You take it and grippped it tightly not wanting to do that again.
"Are you sure you're okay?"he asks again.
"Yeah."
'NO! I see the way Nya looks at you. You'll never love me the same.'
With that last thought you picked up your tools and headed to your room.
"I'll help you fix it later."
You start walking out the door until you heard Jay's voice.
"Wait Y/N."
You turn around only to see Jay walk up to you.
'Stop.'
"What's wrong?"he asks.
"Nothing."you say looking at the robot.
"Look at me."
You looked up at him to prove a point. It only showed the pain, the longing in your eyes.
"What's wrong?"he asks stepping forward.
"Nothing."you grunt.
'I'm afraid. The way Nya looks at you...'
"Stop lying!"he says forcefully.
"I'm not!"
You find your back to the wall. You had no where to go.
"I don't want to lose you."he whispers.
"I don't want to lose you either."
"Then why won't you tell me what's wrong."he says.
"I-I don't want to lose anyone I love."you smile.
Jay looks up at you surprised.
"I love you Jay."
"I love you too Y/N."
He leans in and connects his lips to yours. You kiss back lovingly knowing that Jay was yours and you were his.
