Jason's pov

She gets off the phone. "Hey, My mom wants to come visit." She says, worrying me. "She doesn't still have a thing for me, does she?" I ask awkwardly. She laughs. "She was just being a fan. She never had an actual thing with you." She says. "I hope." My eyes go wide. She laughs again. "I'm kidding." I smile. "I'm cool with whatever then." "Good, I'll call her back right now." She says, pulling her phone back out. "Where's Danny?" I ask. "Some after school thing." She says, calling her mom. I hope she doesn't still crush on me. That would be really freaking weird. "Well, while we wait, I'm gonna hit the studio. So close to a new album." I say, stuffing my hands in my pockets. "You're not afraid of my mom coming over are you?" She asks. I laugh nervously. "Me? Afraid? Are you drunk or something?" I joke tapping her head. "I know what you're thinking." She says. "Okay, Mrs. Smartypants, what am I thinking?" I ask, teasingly. "You're worried my mom still has a crush on you." She says. "I don't know how you always know." I mumble, looking away. She laughs and holds my hands. "5 years, ya get pretty good at it." She says. "Ok, honey if you say so." I kiss her. "I'll be back for when she gets here." I grab my coat and head to the studio. 2 songs and the new album is done. Mike walks in. "Got anything new?" I ask. He smiles and hands me a piece of paper. At the top it says, gonna know we were here. I like it already. I read through it and this is totally one I want to record. Miranda texts me saying her mom is there. I text back on my way. I start driving home when I hear my newest single burnin' it down on the radio. "Yes!" I say, pulling into the driveway. "Hey honey, guess what I heard on the radio coming home." I say, kissing her cheek. "What is it?" "My new single!" "Aw that's great baby, I told you it's gonna reach number one in no time." Her mom comes out of the kitchen, holding Danny. "Hey, it's been a while." I say, waving. She nods.

"Well, I'm gonna work on dinner." He says, going into the kitchen. I think he's still worried about my mom. Danny and my mom are looking at his art projects from kindergarten. She loves having a grandbaby. He yawns. "How about you take a nap before dinner?" I say. He nods, his eyes already closed as he reaches his hands up. I smile and pick him up.

Miranda's mom walks into the kitchen. "I sure hope you like hamburgers." She nods. "Danny's gonna take a nap before dinner." She says. "Okay. I was wondering I know you make kickass desserts, so maybe you could make something for dessert." I say. "Oh something's already made." She says, confusing me. What's she talking about? She rests her hand on my shoulder. "Did ya make something before ya came over?" I ask, nervously. "No." Shit! I remove her hand and back away. "You really can't do that. It's creepin' me out!" She just smiles. Oh my God! She does still have a crush on me!! "Honey!" I call. "What's wrong?" "Could you come in here a second?!" She does. "What's going on here?" She asks. We walk out. "Your mom was getting really touchy and flirty and it was weird." "Oh man, she does still like you!" She gasps, her hands to her cheeks. "What should I do?!" "Gosh, this is so creepy!" She cries. "Ya think! Damn, I've gotta get the burgers on the grill." I say, glancing back at the kitchen. "Ok, um I'll think of something. I'm so sorry!" She says. "Baby, it ain't your fault." I grab the burgers and walk out to the grill. Let's just hope she doesn't do anything. I man the grill. "Hey baby, ask your mom if she likes it rare!" I call. "Why don't you ask me yourself?" My hands tense up. "O-Okay, d-do you like your burger rare?" I mutter, looking at the grill, making sure not to look at her. "I like other stuff rare." She whispers, slipping her hand in my back pocket. I spin around. "Okay, that's enough. Back away woman!" "Mom, leave him alone!" Miranda cries. "I'm sorry ma'am, but I'm off the market." I say, turning back to the grill. This has been the most awkward night ever. Someone rests her hand on my back. "That better be my wife." I say. "It is baby." She says. "Thank God!" I mutter, lowering the spatula. "Nothing can top this day on weird and uncomfortable." I say. "You got that right sweetheart." She says, kissing my cheek.

Poor Jason. He's really freaked about my mom being a bit of a perv. "Well she's making reversed caramel apples for dessert." "Reversed?" "Well, she takes some of the inside of the apple then fills it with caramel, closes it back up, and freezes it. They're really good." I explain. "I'm sure they are." He says, wrapping an arm around my waist and kissing me. Tully and Kasi get here. The twins play with newly awakened Danny in his room.

The girls talk in the kitchen and Tully comes outside where I'm working on the food. "Hey, Tully you're mom has a huge crush on me." I say. He laughs. "You're joking. Please tell me you're joking!" He gasps. He stops laughing when he sees that I'm serious. "Oh that is so creepy!" He gapes, cringing. "Yeah man, it's way creepier for me! I'm not gonna go into details but she wouldn't stop trying to touch me." "Oh jeez man, I'm so sorry! I didn't know my mom was a fangirl!" He gapes. "What do you think I should do?" I ask. "Just stay as far away from her as possible." I finish the burgers and bring them inside. "Burgers are done." I say, setting the plate on the table, keeping a watch on her mom. Miranda walks over. "I'm so sorry about mom." She whispers. "It ain't your fault." Dinner went by problem free. No weird momisodes. Her mom gets up to get dessert. I'm a little nervous since she has to walk behind me to get to the fridge. But luckily she doesn't do anything.

*later*

I'm getting really tired. I think everyone is really tired. "Well, I'm gonna hit the hay." Miranda says, standing up. "Crap. Don't go." I whisper, grabbing her hand. "Come with me. I'm so tired for some reason." She says. "I think that'll work."

*later*

I wake up feeling groggy. Why am I so sluggish and tired. Wait, this is not my bed! Where am I? My arms are tied down!! "Hey! What's going on?!" I shout. Her mom walks in. "I should've known. Let me go!" "I can't." "How'd you kidnap me? Why didn't I wake up?!" I yank at the ropes but it's useless. "The apples had sleeping pills in them." She says. No wonder everyone was tired! I can without a shadow of a doubt classify her as a crazed fan! "Let me go! I've got to get home! Miranda's probably worried sick!" I shout. "Sorry. But I can't let you go." "You're crazier than I thought!" She laughs and leaves the room. Thank goodness for switchblades. If I could just.... Crap! I'm still wearing my pajama pants. How the hell am I gonna escape?!

Miranda's pov

Where did Jason go? I've tried calling him but no answer. I call Tully and he has no clue. None of the band members do. This is so weird. He'd usually leave a note or something. Where is my husband?!

Jason's pov

She sits on the bed next to the chair I'm tied to. "Let's watch TV." She says, turning it on to the news. I don't really pay attention until they say my name. I snap my head up. "Where is country star Jason Aldean? He went missing from his Nashville home yesterday evening. Search parties have been sent over the whole state, looking for the beloved singer." An announcer says. "God dammit woman let me go!!!" "Do you have any statements?" Miranda comes on screen. "Baby!" I gasp. "I know he didn't run away. Something happened to him! Whoever kidnapped him, please bring him home. Please I beg of you." She breaks down crying. "Look what you're doing to your daughter!!" I scream. She turns the TV off and leaves the room. This is impossible! Who tied this?

Miranda's pov

"Who do you think took him?" I mumble, looking at a map. Tully leans back in his chair, his hand over his eyes. I start crying again. He sits up and hugs me tight. "We'll find him. We won't stop looking. It's probably a fan or something." He says, trying to be calm but I can tell he's terrified. My eyes go wide. "Wait, Tully say that again!" I gasp. "Say what?" He asks. "A fan. Mom! She wouldn't leave him alone!" I cry, hopefully. "Miranda come on. Our mom really?" He says, "You're just so desperate to find him." "Well. It's worth a try!" I cry. He sighs. "We've got nothin' to lose." He says shrugging. Danny crawls into my lap. "I want daddy back." He whimpers crying. I hug the little 5 year old. "We'll find daddy. We will." I whisper, holding our little boy.
