Kiara should had guessed that Bella was going to figure out what the Cullens were and about her. Apparently Bella had found about the Legends from Jacob Black and she went to buy a book from a bookstore in Port Angeles, but to Bella's luck she got caught in a problem with some drunk boys.
Kiara and Edward found her in time and saved her and after that Edward and Bella went out to eat where Bella's suspicions about Edward grew and in the end she finally figured it out.
The next day she comfort Edward with the information she gathered and he told her his story, but then Bella asked him the one question she couldn't find an answer for.
"What about Kara? Her eyes are green, she's human... but at the same time I have this connection with her and also how strong she is..." Bella looked into Edward's golden eyes "What is she?"
Edward pushed his lips into a thin line and he looked down "She is a Nymph, or more specifically she is the last Nymph on this earth. Alice and Jasper found her in the woods here in Forks sixteen years ago and they adopted her. Over time we found out that she is not an ordinary human being." He looked towards her "The reason why you feel connected towards her is because she is your Protector. She feels everything you are feeling and she can find you everywhere you are, especially if you are in some kind of a trouble."

Kiara finished the last page of her book just as Edward entered the house after spending the morning with Bella. The family was scattered around the house, and Kiara turned to face him as he entered the living room where she sat in a comfortable silence.
"I've invited Bella over to meet you all." he announced awkwardly.
Esme and Carlisle smiled as normal parents do when their son decides to bring a girl home to meet the family. Kiara heard her mother squeal with excitement from her bedroom, but she could also feel how worried her father was.
"Please don't embarrass me." He pleaded and turned to Emmett with serious eyes, "And no vampire jokes." Emmett chuckled and held his hands out in surrender.
"When will she be coming, Edward?" Esme queried with a sweet smile.
"Tomorrow afternoon."

The next morning, Esme sent Emmett and Kiara out to the grocery store where they were to get food for an Italian dinner, so naturally, they bought half of the store's contents. They returned an hour later with a dozen grocery bags and Emmett was immediately whisked into the tornado that was chef Esme. Carlisle obliged to help while Rosalie participated reluctantly. Alice and Jasper were off hunting so they would be fully content with their cravings before Bella and Edward arrived.
"Edward is going to make up some lame excuse, you know." Kiara put the grocery bags away in one of the many empty kitchen cabinets.
The kitchen looked like it came from a catalog: black wooden finishes with solid quarts countertops and a farmhouse sink to accent it all out. She hopped onto a stool at the island and watched the four of them maneuver around each other.
