"Dorm 167"

The door opened with a groan, I guess it must of been very old because when you opened it it practically came off it's hinges.

'tap-tap-tap-click-tap-tap'

The boy with the laptop had almost silvery white hair but in the sun you couldn't tell. He looked young, maybe only 13 years of age. He was so engrossed in what he was doing , i guess he didn't notice me when I walked up to him.

"Hi, I am your roomy. I'm Simon by the way, Simon Snow"

He practically hit the ceiling!

"Jesus!""You couldn't move any quieter?"

He sighed

"I'm Baz" He finally said.

I stared at him for a while, I felt like I had seen him before but 'Baz' rolled onto his side to face out of the window.' What kind of a name is Baz?!' Eventually I gave up and decided to have a shower. The bathroom was in a terrible state, obviously Baz didn't like putting his stuff in one space. Nope, his stuff was sprawled on the counter top, bottles open, soap in the sink. It was a site to behold.

When I came back my dorm buddy was back on his laptop, he seemed obsessed with what he was doing so I let him be. Outside in the corridor there are tons of freshman milling around. The weird thing was when I started to walk towards the dining hall instead of having to push my way through, people parted but whispered while they did so 'that is Simon' or ' he.............. Mages heir'. Simon had no idea why or for that matter what they were talking about.

When I returned a full 4 hours later it was officially dusk. As I was coming up to my door, I noticed it was already unlocked but there were whispers floating around, presumably coming from my dorm. I pushed open the door and the first person I see is a young girl, she could only have been 10, her parents were probably teachers here. She was fixed to the spot but was staring at a particular spot. I turn around and find Baz, grabbing a ginger cat by the scruff and waving high above the little girls' head so she couldn't reach.

"What do you think you are doing?!"

'Thump'

Baz was so surprised to see me he immediately dropped the cat which sprinted out of the room, the girl chasing after it.

"What were you doing with that girls cat?"

"It is called having a bit of fun dufus"

I just glared at him while smiled smugly, showing his persil teeth. Right then and there I wanted to knock out a few of his teeth, they wouldn't because it looked like he still had his baby teeth. My hands curled instinctively into fists, I clenched so hard my knuckles turned white. He just laughed and strolled away, bemused by the obvious thought that I could throw a punch that could actually hurt him.

I stalked to the common room for dinner and sat down at a table in the far corner so no-one would bother me.

'In books, when people wake up in a strange place, they always have that disorientated moment when the don't know where they are.
That never happened to Levi; he always remembered falling asleep.
But it still felt weird to hear his same-old alarm going off in this brand-new place. The light in the room was strange, too yellow for the morning , and the dorm air had a detergenty twang she wasn't sure she'd get used to. Levi picked up his phone and turned off the alarm. There was a text from Amy
"first day, " she texted Levi now "more later, xo"

'The bed on the other side of the room was still empty.
Levi could get used to this. Maybe Aviary would spend all her time in her boyfriend's room. Or at his apartment. Her boyfriend looked older - he probably lived off campus with twenty other guys, in some ramshackle house with a couch in the front yard. Even with the room to himself, Levi didn't feel safe changing in here. Aviary could walk in any minute, Aviary's boyfriend could walk in any minute...and either one of them could be a cell-phone camera pervert.'
