***Hayden's POV***

Have you ever felt like an outsider at school? That no one liked you because of who you were, or for my matter what specie I am.

Being the son of the principal and the brother of the head cheerleader, you would think that it would be amazing. But my sister isn't just that head cheerleader; she's a witch and a powerful one for her age. But me and my dad, we’re stuck being humans.

Okay, I bet you’re confused about this whole thing. Well, my mum was a witch and married my dad, who was a human. When they had me, and I turned out to be human, Mum was happy, but when my sister was born, she was born a witch. Mum was happy that she had someone to train. But when me and my sister were about four years of age, our mum died in a car crash.

Then my dad packed us up and moved us from Australia to Canada, and started this boarding school for the supernatural, I like to call it. Westfield high, what a wonderful place.

"Oi Hayden, where's your hot sister?" Questioned one of the werewolf dudes on the football team.

"Sammie? Well, she would be at swimming training." I raised an eyebrow.

"Thanks Hayden, seeing your sister in a bikini is going to be amazing." He winked.

"Yuck. Dude, that's my sister you’re talking about." I faked vomited.

"Seeing her sexy body in that suit..." he was saying but I couldn't take another word.

"Dude, I have to go." I walked away and headed for my quite place; the beach.

I walked into my dorm and changed into my swimming shorts and grabbed my surfboard. Then I headed for the front doors to the school and started walking to the beach.

Splash!

Argh!  This is the third time I’ve fallen of my board. I swam back to shore and lay on my towel.

"Why do I keep on falling off?" I mumbled to myself.

"Maybe it's because you’ve forgotten how to surf," my little sister's voice sang.

"How did you find this place? I thought it was my own place."

"That's what I thought too. I come here every time I need a break," she smiled.

"A break from what?" I raised an eyebrow.

"A break from having all the guys looking at me, a break from work, and a break from Dad."

"Well, we have to head back; it's getting late." I pointed at the time on my phone.

"I know I just got here, but sure let’s head back home." She grabbed my hand and we walked back together.

I love my sister, I really do. She means everything to me and I won't let a werewolf touch her, or even be her boyfriend. I know what they think of my sister, and they’re not getting her.

"Come on Hayden, your football training starts now," Sammie smiled at me.

"Sis, you should come to training with me," I suggested.

"I finally get to see my big brother play as half-back."

"Yes, you do."

I looked at the time at and saw it was 9:10. The kids were coming the next day. I looked around my dorm and on my bed was Sammie. She had offered to stay with me tonight to help me with my assessment, but she fell asleep while I was in the shower.

I walked over to her and kissed her forehead, tucking her in my bed. I went over to my desk and started my assessment but that failed due to me falling asleep.

"Hayden. Hayden," someone whispered in my ear.

"Mmm," was all I could make out.

"Come on, we have class."

At that moment, I knew it was Sammie. When I opened my eyes, I saw she had her hair done in a braid to the side, and she was wearing her cheerleader uniform.

"I'll be out in 15," I said, pushing her out of my dorm.

"Oh, and Hayden? Thanks for being a caring brother." Sammie hugged me.

"I'm always here for you." I hugged her back.

I closed the door and started to get ready for a day of school.
