MY HYBRID LOVER

The Attack

It was another evening at the camp and my old man had gone to the store. The old man and I didn't bring enough food so he had to get more from the closet market. I was in the tent when I heard something on the outside. "Who's there?!" stupid Adam, don't call out, it could be a bear or something. Knowing a bear, they could smell fear..
I went back to my book when I heard it again.
"Ugh.. Fine, I'll come out to come see you dad, you don't have to try and scare me." I smirked when I walked out and looked up. A wolf was breathing in my face. "Shit!!!" I got up quickly and started running. That wolf had others with it as I ran further into the woods.
I had my butterfly knife as I always did in case something or someone was to attack.

I was running hard and that wolf kept coming. Howls could be heard as I ran harder. "Shit.. Someone help me!!"
something was following me and I was losing breath. I tripped over a fallen tree stump and hit the ground.. Hard.
a few wolves gathered around me.
"Please! Don't eat me!" I was backed up a wall when "HOWWWWWLLLL!!!!"
a wolf sound came from the top of the hill. He jumped in front of me and growled at the others. My eyes went wide as they backed off.
"H-how.. How did you do that?" I asked not thinking that this wolf was unique.
"Get out of here while you can! I'll hold them off!" Was that wolf talking? "Did y-you just..?"
"I said move! Don't ask questions and I'll follow you after you get out of this area!"
The wolf repeated and I nodded, grabbing my things and ran to the nearest cave away from the wolf pack.
I looked back as I got into the cave. "Did he seriously just talk? No way!"
"Hey! You in here?" That wolf stood in front of me and I nodded hesitate at first. "Y-you're talking? How is that even possible?"
the wolf rolled his eyes and turned into a male in human form. "Woah!" I covered my mouth and laughed. "I'm sorry, but I didn't think this possible.."
the male rolled his eyes and walked up. "Are you okay? What were you doing out there alone?" He asked and I rolled my eyes.
"I wasn't alone, my dad went to the store for more food and it was getting dark so I had to get firewood since the sun was going down." I got up slowly and grabbed my arm. "Shit.." the male rolled his eyes again and took my hand, looking at my arm, putting his hand over it. "Just relax.." he said and I nodded smiling. He mumbled some type of Indian magic chant and my arm was healed.
"w-what's your name?" I asked curious.
"My name is Alexander.. Or Alex if you want to make it easier for you humans."
I rolled my eyes. "Adam.."
"You said your dad was away.. Did he say when he'd be back?" Alex asked and I shook my head, sighing. "I lost my phone when those wolves were chasing me so I can't contact him."
Alexander shook his head and whistled for one of the wolves of his pack to find my phone. The wolf sniffed me a bit and ran off. "Are wolves that strong in senses?" I asked and he smirked . "That's not just a wolf.. We are different from the real ones.. We are hybrids." I raised a brow. "Kinda like teen wolf."
"Sorry? Teen wolf?" He asked and I face palmed myself. "Never mind.."
of course he wouldn't know of that show, he's a hybrid, living out here in the wild.
The wolf ran back and dropped the phone in my hand. "Thanks.." the wolf nodded and nuzzled into my leg. "She's hungry. Are you coming with us?"
my eyes went wide and I bit my lip.
"Y-you sure your pack will like me? I mean I did just cause trouble."
Alexander laughed and got up, putting his hand for mine. "Come on.. If your dad isn't going to be here for another few hours, you might get hungry.."
I nodded and took his hand, putting my phone in my bag and following him to the camp.
