Holloran turned around to face her, his arms not actually up, just raised a little, palms up, as if he was apologizing for stepping on her foot or something.

"My sweet Nelsa," he made an overly serious face and sighed as if heartbroken. The clown! "Do you always have to be this difficult? No harm done, your shiny little toy is safe and sound. I've been just feeling him out a little. I bet he liked it plenty. Not only pretty, but also eager. Nice buy, honey. I heard you've paid Alric a thousand for him?"

"None of your bloody business, Holloran. Now get out and get lost. To never see your mug around here again would be too soon."

"Just as pleasant and civil as I remember you, dear." The mercenary grinned. "Let's get down to business then. How much for one night with your little cherub?"

"I'm not sure you've noticed, being so brain-damaged as you are, but he has no brand, he's not a slave, and it's really high time for you to shut up and get out."

"Skip the pretense, Nelsa. He will do whatever you tell him, brand or no brand. Come on, how much, don't be shy. I'm paying cash. Fifty creds? A hundred? He's worth it, your sweet little cherub."

"Shut you bloody trap and don't utter another word about my second pilot!" Nelsa said through clenched teeth.

"Your second pilot? My, it's worse than I thought. You like playing with him way too much, it seems. Not that I blame you. Give me a call when you are ready to earn some cash, I'll be waiting. By the way, your kitten adores me. He may just forget to ask for money while he is giving me a good time. No hard feelings, eh? He's a free man, after all."

Nothing in Nelsa's face had betrayed her intentions before she tossed the blaster into her left hand and jabbed Holloran in the face with her right. He stopped her fist aimed at his jaw, she jabbed him again higher, he brought up his other hand, and then she went for what was her main goal all along, kicking him in the balls. With a vengeance.

"Bitch!" he gasped, bending over and clasping his groin with both hands.

"Listen to me, you dirty bastard!" she said, in a very precise and clear voice. "If you as much as lay your finger on the lad, if you even look at him funny and wink, I'll cut off your bollocks, your fingers, your eyes and everything else that makes you such a pig. Do you understand me?"

She didn't wait for the answer. She moved away from Holloran without turning her back, with her blaster still pointed at him, to the Aurora's open hatch.

"Go inside, lad," she ordered quietly.

Before leaving he picked up his small blaster from the hangar's floor, lost in the fight, most likely.

In the meanwhile Holloran straightened up, grimacing with pain, and shouted, "He must be very good in bed for you to fuss over him so much! Hey, pretty boy, whaddaya gonna do when mommy's not around?"

Ariel was on his way up to the hatch. At those words he stumbled and nearly fell from the ramp. Nelsa felt a sudden urge to shoot Holloran in the knee, but stifled it. Barely.
